Discuss the practical and ethical implications of each perspective that you identify. This is intentionally broad so that you can select a topic that is of interest to you as long as it is multifaceted and connected to the course.
When I say “discuss the practical and ethical implications” what I am talking about is considering the legal rules, limitations on the actors/interested parties, and how the legal rules and limitations intersect with morality, including different perspectives of what the “moral” answer might be in any given case. Again, this is intentionally broad. To use a non-CJ example, someone discussing the ethical implications of the health care debate might discuss the law as it exists currently, the limitations (e.g., financing/funding; lack of medical experts who are willing to participate in certain plans, thus limiting availability of care not just on cost; legal restrictions on insurance; morality of leaving those who need health care the most with the fewest options for obtaining it, etc.
This is an exploratory/inquiry type paper. In other words, you do not have to defend a singular position against any of the others you present (argument). You are not responsible for presenting your resolution to the issues, dilemmas or debates, just discuss them based on the criteria herein (and the rubric attached). You should be prepared, however, to use a minimum of 4 outside sources and to provide a reference page.
Organize your paper clearly, using coherent paragraphs. Use 12-point font and double-space. The paper should be about 5-7 pages in length, excluding the reference page.
