* Your task is to compose a solid essay (900 – 1200 words) in which you discuss the similar ways in which these two works explore one of their common themes. Your emphasis is on the HOW (structure, devices (such as diction, imagery, symbolism, juxtaposition, etc.), or setting and staging).
Your discussion should follow standard JFKS essay structure. It will contain an introduction and a conclusion, be led by a strong thesis-statement, and contain ample evidence with thoughtful commentary. As extra practice, you will also need to include a works cited page with an entry for both the play and the film. Your essay will be graded according to this rubric.
