Through this time of change, school administrators are reaching out to faculty and students alike for their input on how improvements can be made to the existing programs. You receive an email from your Program Coordinator requesting any feedback that students may have.
As a student who cares about your program’s present and future, you decide you will respond to the Request for Feedback, in which you will make a few suggestions about ways your program could be improved in order to better serve your future success.
THE EMAIL:Compose a (roughly) 250-400-word email to your Program Coordinator. Make sure your email uses correct formatting and language, including relatively short and visually appealing paragraphs, and proper spelling and punctuation.
Be sure to include:
email addresses, date, and a clear and logical subject line
a polite greeting with the audience’s appropriate title/name
OPENING: an opening sentence that provides some context (i.e. make a connection or explain/respond to the circumstance)
OPENING: a clear explanation of your communication objectives (i.e. why are you writing/what’s your purpose?)
BODY #1: a brief description of your time in the program so far, and what you’ve learned from it
BODY #2-4: three short paragraphs/sections in which you outline three ways in which the program could be improved going forward.
BODY #5: a short paragraph that provides the benefits of these suggestions
CLOSING: a positive closing sentence (or two) that thanks the readers and opens the door to future communication/feedback
