You will write an essay at least 8 pages in length, developing a thesis on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. The essay topic will be on gender ambiguity in Shakespeare’s play Twelfth Night. The argument should demonstrate detailed familiarity with the work in question as well as with secondary sources about the work and topic. It must include an early paragraph or two in which you systematically identify what other critics have said about your topic and explain how your approach differs from theirs. Write the paper following the MLA format. Use at least 9 secondary sources; ply the MLA International Bibliography and JSTOR databases vigorously. Unless it is from JSTOR, a book that is published, to MLA International Bibliography, you cannot use it. However, if the article is published, please check with me because it may satisfactory. If something is quoted from these sources, it must have quotes around it.
