You are to create a report that analyzes the management practices at an organization of your choice. The company must be a publicly traded company that is listed as a “Fortune 500” multinational or transnational company – do your research – among those in the top 100 listed. Your teams will be organized by the instructor and you will be informed of these groups so that you can decide on your company and submit using your group discussion submission.
Your report should include the following and have two major sections:
1. Cover Page
2. Table of Contents
3. Reference Page including one print source
I. Description: (5-7 pages)
1. A description of the company and a brief history of its operations and performance. This must be a summary, not the description and history given on the company’s website.
2. An analysis of the relevant external environment, written by your group or group members, NOT taken from a website.
3. A summary of the company’s mission, vision, goals and strategy written by your group or group members, NOT taken from a website.
4. A summary of the company culture, again, written by your group or group members, NOT taken from a website.
5. A description of its organizational structure and design – you got it – original!
6. A description of its human resource management practices, including any team-based processes – you got it – original!
7. A description of its social responsibility initiatives– you got it – original!
8. A description of any international operations– you got it – original!
You should use your textbook, articles, and internet research as resources for your project. All sources should be fully and properly cited, both in the text and on your sources pages.
To understand the application of this project you might want to pretend you and your team have been hired by the company as management consultants to determine if the company is using good management practices.
Your report should be written in a professional, business format. Researching the Company Profiles and Management Reports on company websites will give you good ideas on how to format your report. The final report should be 7-10 pages in length; typed; double-spaced.

The completed project will be due based on the course schedule. No reports will be accepted late. On the date your project is due, you will submit your written report and your PowerPoint presentation to the links provided. One student from each group should submit a copy of the group paper and PowerPoint presentation to the links provided under the Group Page.
You will be given the grading rubric designed to calculate your project grade as we near the due dates. This form will enable your group to see what is expected at standard, above and below standard levels for the project.
You will be given a Self/Peer Evaluation to complete. You should use this evaluation to reflect on the efforts that went into successfully completing your project.
