based on those that have appeared throughout the course or one that you
may have deeper interest in. Ex: “Haitian Revolution,” “Slavery in Cuba,”
“Middle Passage,” “Slavery in the Dominican Republic,” “Garifuna,”
“Caste and Colorism,” etc. Please select your topic and place on the
Discussion Board ASAP for review and to prevent duplication.
5-Page Written Report
In the written report, you should compile information on your topic in a
style akin to a research paper. The goal of the written report is to further
help develop writing and enrich grammar, style, and reporting as an
independent researcher.

• Reading Reviews format can be used as a guide!
• Think back to the writings throughout the semester. This isn’t the
typical research paper, so my critique isn’t based simply or rigidly on
APA style of research. Again, the goal is to enrich the various
elements of historical research and writing.

5 Slides Presentation
Create a PowerPoint presentation that basically mirrors your report that
would be used if you were presenting this report in class. In this virtual
space, this will serve as your class presentation and will provide an outline
and that may include graphics, charts, visuals etc. that explain and enrich
your selected topic with viewers.

As we have done in our BlackBoard Discussions, it is now your chance to
created detailed, open-ended questions that pertain to your topic. Think of
yourself as the instructor. What questions do you have about your topic
that you would want to gain more insight from this research project?
Think of these questions as research problem questions. What would you
want to know more or want the reader to gain?

describe what is intended by this statement? How did engaging the maps
