E. Weekend support group for high school students struggling with mental health and addictions.
F. Your own idea? Must be approved by your Professor.

Instructions: ( choose subject and agency then start writing following those instructions)

1. Write a problem statement for ABC Social Services, addressing the issue you have chosen above.

Provide some background information on the issue you intend to address. You may describe how long the issue has persisted in your area, how this issue has manifested (what does it look like?), and other efforts that have been undertaken to solve it. Describe the range and depth of the issue, both through your use of statistics and in-narrative discussion. You want to communicate that this is an important issue that demands attention. Remember to make this problem statement, emotional, powerful and incorporate a story and/or quote that speaks to the personal impact of the organization.

Use current research (ie. crime maps, demographic data, news stories, journals, etc) (2-3 pages).

2. Using the same non-profit organization above, research at least 3 potential Granting/funding sources.
Develop a table that lists the foundation/funder, address and contact information, funding sources priorities, why you think they are a good match, what are the strategies to make contact with them, average grant size and timelines (1- 2 pages).
