The Addictions Counseling program provides the necessary coursework to prepare counselors to work in a wide range of settings with diverse populations. Addictions counselors typically work in multiple community based settings, including clinical mental health facilities, hospitals, community service agencies, and private practice. Our graduates are employed in these settings and use their specialized training to aid clients with addictions, co-occurring disorders, and other mental health concerns.

The Addictions Counseling program prepares students to work with populations who are in recovery for various addictions (chemical and behavioral). Graduates are employed in addictions facilities, transition homes, inpatient and outpatient treatment centers and other related facilities that focus on addictions treatment.
