The final capstone of your Executive Leadership course is to write a 3-5 page research paper on the benefits of civic responsibility. You can use topics discussed in the course, or topics that you have found interesting through your own research. Some ideas for topics include: diversity, inclusion, social justice, community service, or corporate/individual social responsibility.
Your paper should adequately summarize the background and definition of your topic, why it’s important in today’s world, and how it is related to leadership. Your paper should be written in APA format, using at least 5 citations from peer-reviewed journal articles.
After writing your research paper, it should form the introduction to your personal reflection on you own personal development.
Your reflection should be a combination of the personal reflections you’ve written at the conclusion of each module, which include:
Practicing project management techniques.
Increasing your network.
Using innovation and creativity to think about a problem.
Being resilient in the face of challenges.
Understanding mentorship.
Empowering a team.
Taking on other perspectives to understand others’ circumstances.
