Overdoing Democracy
Talisse’s position in this book is that the cure for democracy’s ills cannot be more and better and democracy (in other words, he rejects what he calls the ‘better democracy response’). Engage with the relevant material in the book and present an argument showing why Talisse is either right or wrong about this position. In order to do this well—regardless of whether you agree or disagree with him—you will need to clearly explain what he believes to be the major ‘ills’ of democracy as well as his reasons for rejecting the better democracy solution.
