Explain how Japanese video games influenced Japanese culture

Paper about how Japanese video games influenced Japanese culture and media and vice versa. Focus on Japanese role playing games, but other video games ok. Topics of Japanese video game influence examples: food, otaku culture, anime, etc.

Illustrations and tables ok, however they do not count towards page count.

Please include your bibliography, as well. You should consult at least 3-4 items that are either book chapters or journal articles (which needless to say can be limited to those accessible online; our class readings can count toward this total, too). You’re welcome to use non-academic sources–fanzines, fan websites, etc., but you should not rely exclusively on them for your project.

Choose two primary articles and write two precis for each of them.

We are required to choose two primary articles and write two precis for each of them. Not only summarizing the articles, but we also have to give our opinion and analysis to them. Since this is the art history class, we do really have to include historic context, movement, idea, etc in a specific period. The essay should include enough citations and direct quotes from the chosen articles. Two pages for each article would be perfect. 1. How to write precis 2. Chosen primary articles 3. Examples from the professor (we don’t have to follow hers directly since she wrote them about 10 yrs ago).

Write an essay exploring post-pornography, pornography after the internet, posthuman concepts and the development of parasocial relationships as a result of platforms

Please write an essay exploring post-pornography, pornography after the internet, posthuman concepts and the development of parasocial relationships as a result of platforms like OnlyFans, which you should use as the main case study.
“OnlyFans has been successful in empowering some of their more popular creators by making sex work profitable for them, in an industry already being destabilised by the internet. Although still deeply stigmatised, digital sex work in the time of a pandemic has undeniably changed the way content is both created and consumed.
As much as most people think OnlyFans is simply a paid porn site, it’s more than that. In some cases, it’s perpetuating the idea of parasocial relationships: which is simply a one-sided relationship, giving someone an illusion of intimacy. The relationships formed between creator and consumer is about more than just sex, it’s about loneliness and wanting to create deeper personal relationships and having a desire for that experience. This is indicative of what people are lacking – it’s an affection deprivation.” (this is my proposal for the essay, feel free to use this in the essay, and as a guide for what to expand on)

Describe how you would direct either Sophocles’ OEDIPUS REX or William Shakespeare’s HAMLET.

Using 150 – 300 words, describe how you would direct either Sophocles’ OEDIPUS REX or William Shakespeare’s HAMLET. Name which play you have chosen.
You must direct this production in a theatre, but you can pick if this theater will be proscenium, thrust, or arena. Why this type of theatrical space?
Name a simple theme for this production, such as “evil must be conquered” or “vengeance is worth it.”
Why this theme; what in the script leads you to believe this is the essence of this play?
Name one symbol for your production that will be the central symbol for your production. Why this symbol?
How does it embody your production?
Describe in what period you will place your play? Why?
What does this era help signify in your production?
What kind of setting will you need?
Describe different elements of it. Describe your lead character’s costumes. What colors, designs, and textures do you see? How will the set and costumes be lit? Is the stage dark and cold? Warm? Describe what you want to see from your lighting designer.
Finally, name your dream cast, and give a few statements of explanation why you have chosen this dream cast. You will be given a million dollars to mount this production, and since you are a famous director, every actor wants to be a part of this production.
