Discuss how the Palette of King Narmar establishes both visual and iconographic conventions that will guide Egyptian art for centuries.

In a 300-500 word essay discuss how the Palette of King Narmar establishes both visual and iconographic conventions that will guide Egyptian art for centuries. Provide specific examples of works that demonstrate this influence.

Explain how you went about choosing your last ten sources

For each source, you will provide its formal citation in Chicago format, and then compose a substantive “annotation” that consists of 2 to 4 paragraphs, which are broken down into two subsections: “summary” and “analytical” paragraphs.
• Your summary paragraph(s) will succinctly but thoroughly explain the main points of the reading, without any editorializing, as with an academic journal article abstract.
• Your analytical paragraph(s) will build on the foundation of your summary paragraphs by providing a thoughtful analytical commentary on the text, choosing one or more of these options:
o Provide an extension or a counterpoint to one or more of the ideas summarized in your summary paragraphs. For example, you could critically examine the text’s premise, ideas, evidence or interpretation; you could apply ideas or evidence from other sources for the purpose of elucidating or reframing a reader’s understanding of the text’s main point(s); and so forth.
o Use an idea or set of ideas described in your summary paragraph(s) as a lens through which to view aspects of the “social drama” that our communities (at whatever level of society: local, regional, national, world) are presently navigating
o Apply an idea or ideas summarized in your summary paragraph(s) to your own your own scholarly (academic) or community (public, civic) interests.
Different kinds of articles will prompt you to write different kinds of analytical comments.
3. Include a short Introductory Note (on the page following the Table of Contents) that explains what this document is. This would be a good place to describe what the course covered in the weeks that pertain to your chosen texts (this is relevant for Parts 1 and 2 of your AB) and to explain how you went about choosing your last ten sources (for Part 3.)
4. The final version of your Annotated Bibliography should adhere to the Chicago Style Guide, which is what the HUMA program faculty have agreed to use.
5. Format your AB so that the text I under each numbered entry is single spaced. The numbered entry itself should be the text citation (in Chicago Style) and you should skip a line before commencing the single-spaced paragraphs under an entry.
6. Conclude the AB with a short Concluding Note that states what has just occurred and perhaps describes next steps (such as how you would like to follow up on/explore x or y topic, as you move forward in the HUMA course.)
7. List at the end of your document a separate alphabetical listing of your entries. This will be useful to you later on if you plan on keeping an alphabetical list of resources.
8. Make 1” margins and 12-point font.
9. Number your pages starting with the Introduction.
10. Proof-read your text and check your citations to be sure they are in Chicago style.

Write an overview of its main characteristics: what time in history it flourished during; what geographical region it covered.

In this paper you are given the task of reporting on Egyptian culture during the period of the “New Kingdom”, taking place roughly between 1550 and 712 BCE. Types of things you will be discussing are as follows:
“write an overview of its main characteristics: what time in history it flourished during; what geographical region it covered; what was its capital or most important city/cities or centers; how was it organized politically and ruled; what were its main beliefs and/or religion; what were its main occupations/type of work; what was new and important about this culture – what was its significance or what did it contribute; did it influence or dominate other societies/cultures of the time; what were its main art and architecture forms – did it introduce a new or a distinctive type of art?”
You also must find an artwork from the time period your reporting on and discuss it’s significance or simply put, what it symbolized.
Lucky (or not so lucky) for you, I’ve already done some research to find an art work and a time period that would be easy to find facts about.
Your artwork is the “King Tut Death Mask” which was the ceremonial mask used to cover King Tut’s face during his funeral. This gives you a time period of roughly 1332 to 1323 BCE to report on.
You have to include a picture of the artwork in the paper, so just tack it on the end somewhere.
Four sources are required for this paper, and they must all be online. Wikipedia is PERMITTED, so go crazy.
Remember, you don’t want it to sound like your just listing facts. Coherency and elegance is the name of the game, and if you can execute and get me an A.. you best damn believe that some bonus cash is coming your way.
I’ve attached the teachers version of what I’ve said in the files. You can over it if you come across any confusion, and of course, I’m available for any questions.
Good day.

Identify how art benefits wellness and creativity in the community and workplace.

Identify how art benefits wellness and creativity in the community and workplace.

Scenario
You just opened a small company and got your first contract to design a new product. You divided your employees up into two teams of three to see who could come up with the best new designs. You gave them a week to work. As you observed their work, you noticed how noisy it was in your open-plan space. You also noticed some arguing, and one of your best designers had to go home early with a migraine. After a week of work, you called the teams back to see what they accomplished and you were very disappointed. The designs were just not up to standard.

When you asked your workers what the problem was, they had a long list of issues with the workspace. You know you need to revamp your office if your company is going to be successful, but you need to take inventory before you can begin improvements.

In the United States, a work is copyrighted as soon as it is created. What constitutes a “work” is a complex subject and is beyond the scope of this topic. Generally, however, it includes written works (e.g., books, articles, etc.), pictures (including original art), and music, among others.

In this discussion answer the listed questions.

Should anyone be allowed to use any picture (or other copyrighted work) without permission and/or compensation from the copyright holder?
How do you know a work is copyrighted? If it is, how do you get permission to use it?
What are the ramifications of using a copyrighted work?
How can you protect your own work so it is protected?
