Active Listening & Challenges
Students are required to do a lot of listening at university for example in lectures, tutorials and class discussions. Some challenges include trying to understand a lot of new content, unfamiliar accents and concentrating for long periods of time – this means students often lose focus and miss key information.
In order to overcome these challenges, it is important for students to develop what are known as active listening skills.
