For this project, you need start with an existing defined process that can be mapped out and has metrics. Then, will you revise that process to make it more efficient/effective.

Step 2) Read this article on Process Implementation. Read this article on What is a Process Flow Chart and How to Use it.

Step 3) Review this template ORGL4342- Process-Improvement-Plan Template Rev. 4-27-2021.docxto document for your culminating project. This assignment must be your own work and based on your knowledge of the organization you have chosen. You should add a reference page at the end of your document and cite any sources used to prepare your paper. All green text should be deleted.

Step 4) View this Process-Improvement-Plan Example. You only need 1 process to analyze.

What price would the bonds sell for assuming investors do not expect them to be called? What price would the bonds sell for assuming investors expected them to be called at the end of 5 years?

Bonds sell

Klondike Adventure, Inc., has outstanding $100 million bonds that pay an annual coupon rate of interest of 11 percent. Par value of each bond is $1,000. The bonds are scheduled to mature in 10 years. Because of Dooley’s increased risk, investors now require a 13 percent rate of return on bonds of similar quality. The bonds are callable at 110 percent of par at the end of 5 years.

What price would the bonds sell for assuming investors do not expect them to be called?
Hint: nper = 10 years, fv = 1000)
What price would the bonds sell for assuming investors expected them to be called at the end of 5 years?

Excel hints:

Review the time line and cash flow amount for the regular and callable bond.

Explain how your team will use the tools. For instance, will one person be in charge of the group calendar or will anybody be able to schedule meetings and invite participants?

PowerPoint presentation

You have been promoted to lead a newly formed team of 10 people. Most team members travel for work and some work from home part of the time. One of the things that takes up a lot of time for people who travel or work remotely is putting together expense reports for travel and home-based office expenses. You must review every expense report for accuracy before you send it to the accounting department, which verifies that the expenses do not exceed the budget for a particular account. If there are no budget issues, the accounting department tells the accounts payable department to reimburse the employee. If you find an inaccuracy or a receipt is missing, you must send the report back to the employee for correction. If the accounting department discovers a budgetary problem, they will send the report back to you to identify a different account to use for the expenses.

Put together a PowerPoint presentation to use at the kick-off meeting with your new team to introduce the collaboration and productivity tools they will be using. Explain how your team will use the tools. For instance, will one person be in charge of the group calendar or will anybody be able to schedule meetings and invite participants? Consider how team members will get training or help, if needed. Include one slide with a process map depicting the steps for expense reporting and explain how collaboration tools could make this time-consuming process easier and/or faster. Do not overwhelm your team; pick no more than six collaboration tools. The PowerPoint presentation should look professional and include references in APA format so your team members can find more information about the tools you are proposing. This is your chance to shine with a new team and new role. You want to get off to a good start by making it easier for your team members to work together.

Does the document have a title and your name on it? Formatting – does this document look like an academic report presented to an executive? Are the references easily identifiable in the text and reproduced at the end of the document?

Team of Teams By Stanley Mcchrystal

Introduction

You have now finished reading the leadership book of your choice and formed an idea about:

1.Book’s Intellectual Value,

2. Book’s Scientific Rigor,

3. Book’s Value for Leadership,

4. Readability.

This assignment takes your competency one step further. Knowing that it takes at least two years to write and publish a book, we can safely assume that there has been additional research published after the book was released.

Your Task

Select a specific focus area of the book you have reported on and find out what research has been conducted recently on the topic in the past few years, as well as, if anybody has any real measurements on the issue, what are the results of those measurements (proxy measurements are OK as well). Remember the exercise we had on the “What are your weaknesses” paper? It had no data, no reference to other work, and it was not published in a scientific journal. This time we are looking for something more scientific. Start with https://scholar.google.com/ (Links to an external site.)  and search for academic journals.

Submittal

This is an executive level document in which you answer a question from your boss’ boss: “What’ s new in the area of … ?” It has to be concise, precise, with clear attribution of the sources of information, and have a conclusion. While it is OK to discuss the research with colleagues, the write-up and most of the research shall be individual work. The literature review will be submitted through Canvas as a PDF file.

Make sure the following issues are well addressed:

  1. Does the document have a title and your name on it?
  2. Formatting – does this document look like an academic report presented to an executive?
  3. Are the references easily identifiable in the text and reproduced at the end of the document?
  4. Are the references from reliable academic sources?
  5. Are there enough references to sustain the general conclusion you wrote?
  6. Does the conclusion tell the reader all there is to know in a concise manner?

Explain what each of these terms means and why each measure is significant. What are these measures in the U.S. right now? How have they changed over the last decade?

Explain why it is important to define the goals and objectives for a new project. Describe at least two goals for the project and describe an objective for each of the goals. Include in-text citations from credible sources that explain the importance of establishing and defining goals and objectives for a new project.

Week 4 Assignment – Project Planning

Overview
This is the first of three writing assignments for the course.
Whether we know it or not, we all have planned and executed projects at some point. For the assignments in this course, you will select a project to undergo the project management process. This project can be real or fictional, but you should choose something that you are interested in.
Remember a project must:
Have a beginning and an end.
Result in something being delivered to someone.
Require a series of activities that must be done to complete the project.
Require resources (for example, people and materials) to complete the work.

Again, we have all done projects. A project can be something as simple as taking a vacation, having a family reunion, putting on a wedding, having a birthday party, or buying / selling a house. The project could also be job-related, such as managing a major technology upgrade for the organization, putting together an annual management retreat for all employees, or something else that meets the definition of a project. The focus of your paper should be on the concepts learned from the chapter readings and not how well you can describe a project. All opinions must be supported with sources and in-text citations. Also, feel free to use different projects for each assignment.

Note: To avoid a high SafeAssign percentage, do not simply copy and paste from one assignment to the next.
Note: You are prohibited from using projects that can found on the Internet, including projects found in places such as CourseHero. All project submissions are submitted to SafeAssign for review.

Instructions
Write a 3–4 page paper in which you define the scope of your project:

Provide an introduction and overview of the project.

Explain why it is important to define the goals and objectives for a new project.

Describe at least two goals for the project and describe an objective for each of the goals. Include in-text citations from credible sources that explain the importance of establishing and defining goals and objectives for a new project.

Explain why it is important to understand the organizational structure where the project will be completed.

Chapter 3 in the course textbook describes project management structures.

Describe the project management structure that you will use to manage your project and why you made that choice.
For example, will you manage it via the existing functional structure of the organization, set up a projected/dedicated project team, or use a matrix management structure? If you will use a matrix structure, which type will you use?

Include in-text citations from the course textbook to explain these structures and the benefits of one over the other.

Define the term “project stakeholders,” identify the stakeholders involved with your project, and discuss their impact/role on the project.

Discuss some of the best practices for estimating and developing a project budget.

Chapter 5 in the course textbook discusses budgets.

Use at least three sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate. Cite each source listed on your source page at least one time within your assignment. For help with research, writing, and citations, access the library.

This course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards. For assistance and information, refer to the Strayer Writing Standards link in the left-hand menu of your course. Be sure to include a cover page and Sources list. Note: the cover page and Sources list is not included in the 3–4 page count requirement. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.

The specific course learning outcome associated with this assignment is:
Draft a project plan that includes goals and objectives, recommended structure, and stakeholders for a successful project.
