Discuss how the company’s mission drives its culture and impacts how the employees are treated.

EXAMPLE: Herb Kelleher, founder of Southwest Airlines, died on January 3, 2019. He developed a company around a culture of caring for people. One of his famous quotes was: “Your employees come first. And if you treat your employees right, guess what? Your customers come back, and that makes your shareholders happy. Start with employees and the rest follows from that.”

Southwest’s mission statement is: “dedication to the highest quality of Customer Service delivered with a sense of warmth, friendliness, individual pride, and Company Spirit.” This mission and their dedication to people has paid off financially; Southwest has had 48 consecutive years of profitability.

ASSIGNMENT: Pick another company that values its people and find its mission statement. Discuss how the company’s mission drives its culture and impacts how the employees are treated. Include how successful the company is (be specific).

The final critical thinking assignment for this course requires a comprehensive Change Management Process, including its origination and implementation. To complete this project, address the following:

●Choose a Middle Eastern organization in which you are currently working, or with which you are familiar. Provide a brief description of the organization, including its history, number of employees, products/services, mission/vision, strategies, etc.

  • This is a shared assignment and therefore will not need a conclusion. I’ve chosen the beginning more general research section so one could write it without the need for additional materials.
  • Research the effects of COVID-19 on the restaurant industry (At this writing, restaurants are scheduled to reopen at 50% capacity (in South Carolina) for the foreseeable future).
  • Relate/research the specific effects its had on a Mexican restaurant called Broncos (as possible, creative writing is obviously necessary)
  • Write a case analysis on the economic recovery of the restaurant industry following the COVID-19 shut down (again, creative writing will most likely be necessary)
