Is there an excess of suspicious person reports in one area? If so, why do you think that may be happening?

Your chief is asking for an analysis of the crime over the weekend. He has been receiving complaints from citizens that their area is not being covered to combat crime. He would like answers to the specific questions listed below.

Discuss the following questions on your group Discussion Board so that the team leader can compile the information to be used in the team paper. The answers to these questions are based on the crime and time mapping that you have finished for the team work.

Is there an excess of suspicious person reports in one area? If so, why do you think that may be happening?
Is there a lack of suspicious person reports in one area? If so, why do you think that may be happening?
Is there a certain time for burglaries? If so, why do you think that may be happening? Is there a cluster for the following:
Homicides
Burglaries
Robberies
Carjacking reports
Domestic reports
Home invasions
Driving under the influence
Are domestics related to one area? Why or why not?
The chief needs to allocate his officers to certain areas. At what day and time would he or she increase patrol car activity and in what area?
Give reasons to your chief as to why it would be advantageous to the department to have a computer-generated mapping system.

The team leader will take the crime map that the team deems correct and add it to the team paper along with the answers to the questions above.

Members of the team will address these questions using the crime mapping and time mapping that they made up for this group project. When you submit your replies to the team discussion board, upload your 2 files so that others can see your mapping.

Which system would you have preferred to use to solve this dilemma if allowed to chose any of the six ethical systems?

READ THE MATERIAL MY name IS DeGraffenreid ,S is under (Ethics of Virtue or Ethics of Care:) only do the Materials tell you to do..

You are a homicide investigator and are interrogating someone you believe picked up a 9-year-old girl in a shopping mall and the molested and murdered the girl. He is a registered sex offender, was in the area, and although he does not have any violence on his record, you believe he must have done it because there is no other suspect who had the means, opportunity, and motive. You want to send this guy away for a long time. After several hours of getting nowhere, you have a colleague come in with a file folder and pretend that the medical examiner had obtained fingerprints on the body that match the suspect’s. You tell him that he lost his chance to confess to a lesser crime because now he is facing the death penalty. He says that he will confess to whatever you want him to if the death penalty is taken off the table. Do you tell him what you did? Do you tell the prosecutor?than Answer these question

a) Was the conclusion you reached the same as that of your classmate who used a different ethical system than you?

Reflect on the podcast and provide your thoughts on what can or should be done regarding mental health and criminal justice institutions including jails and/ or police officer training.

Week 6 Personal Reflection
Points 2.5 Submitting a text entry box Available
There has been a long-standing argument that the criminal justice has failed to address mental health matters. There is a large number of persons entering the criminal justice system with ample mental health needs. There has been a considerable amount of attention in the last few years for the growing professional needs to address mental health issues in criminal justice institutions. Listen to the following podcast on caseworker and client relationships within mental health courts. Reflect on the podcast and provide your thoughts on what can or should be done regarding mental health and criminal justice institutions including jails and/ or police officer training.

There is no word or paragraph minimum. Consider this as if it is a blog of your personal thoughts. Please do not attach any document- type your response directly into the text box. Two of your peers will be assigned to review your thoughts- no response is required although I highly encourage constructive feedback.
