Step 2
Create a Family Handbook for the following fictitious centre:
Name: Rainbow Children Early Learning Centre
Services: Full day program for children aged 2 ½ to 5 years of age
Hours of Operation: 7 am. To 6 pm, Monday to Friday. Closed statutory holidays.
Fees: $50/day with a minimum enrollment of 2 days
You can use a variety of software programs to create your handbook, but it must be submitted
as a PDF.
Step 3
Add at title page and references (if applicable) to your handbook.
Step 4
Save your completed assignment to a memory stick and submit/upload it to Blackboard.

Read the “Licensing Regulations Case Study” located in the assignment folder.
Step 3
In your own words, explain 8 licensing violations. Then cite the section of the Regulation that
you believe is being violated.
Example: Three children in the primary/junior group did not go outside with their teacher. This
is a violation because children must always be supervised by an adult. (O.Reg.137/15 General,
Section 11)
