Film Analysis

Select two films below and answer the five questions with a compare/contrast analysis–minimum of 1500 words (about six double-spaced pages). Find a minimum of three (3) scholarly articles (post-2018) to incorporate into your responses. The articles should be based on the impairments, issues, supports, history, etc. Citations and references should be by APA (parenthetical notes, reference page at the end, no abstract necessary).

You can find almost all of the films on Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and other streaming services. Alternatively, if you happen to own a DVD player, you can rent most from the public library.
As you watch your selected films, pay particular attention to the disabilities, handicaps, and limitations experienced by the main characters. Also, take time to notice interactions with the other people portrayed in the films.

Students will develop one traditional outdoor game for early learners (ages 3 – 7) from another culture. This assignment is designed to help emphasize the importance of allotting time for gross motor activities that promote language and literacy, social skills as well as the awareness of diversity in play.

1. Select one children’s game, from another culture such as “Latino” games, “Doña Blanca” or “La Rueda de San Miguel,” or hand clapping games often found in the African American culture. You do not need props, but the games must include gross motor activities.
