How does this literature review support the analysis or further understanding of the problem statement? How do you intend to tell the story to the reader?

4.1 Literature review

Complete your literature review that analyzes or helps the reader understand your problem statement from back in

Weeks 1 and 2. The literature review paper should be a condensed, synthesized, narrative that integrates all of the literature you have reviewed in Week 2 as well as additional research relevant to your problem. Don’t merely list an article and describe it in one paragraph and then another in the next paragraph. Make it a narrative. Describe the studies and how they support what you want to examine in your topic. Think of this as a paper within a paper. You should provide an introduction and summary of your lit review. Include headings to organize the content.

Your literature review may be a fluid document as your focus changes and recommendations are received from your instructor. Continuously make additions, updates, and revisions to the Literature Review Matrix you created in Week 2.

Provide an updated Literature Review Matrix as an additional document uploaded along with the 4.1 Literature Review assignment this week.

Your literature review paper should include:
Title page formatted in APA.

Title heading as your introduction heading to the literature review. How does this literature review support the analysis or further understanding of the problem statement? How do you intend to tell the story to the reader?
Your clearly stated problem statement. Make any revisions following Weeks 1 and 2 if necessary.

Well-organized sections in the paper that review similar research studies used to explain or analyze the problem (review the Literature Review Tutorial). Include correctly formatted APA headings.

Conclusion

References – 10 minimum. They must be research articles. You already have 5 from Week 2.

What constitutes valid, reliable, and relevant evidence? Why is it necessary to always consider the validity, reliability, and relevance of a research study?

Week 3 Discussion question

PArt 1
What constitutes valid, reliable, and relevant evidence? Why is it necessary to always consider the validity, reliability, and relevance of a research study? As you explain why a systematic appraisal of the evidence is necessary, consider the alternative to valid, reliable, and relevant evidence and the potential resulting outcomes. As always, provide substantive support of your views and opinions using appropriate research articles.

part 2
In 1998, Wakefield et al. reported a link between the administration of the MMR vaccine and a form of autism, igniting panic and contributing to a public health issue that continues today. Intentional or not, the research was flawed with bias. (You can read more about Wakefield’s study and fraudulent reporting here: Wakefield’s article linking MMR vaccine and autism was fraudulent.)
Ethical issues such as confirmation bias, whether intentional or unintentional, hold a significant impact for consumers of research. How can a manager or healthcare team work to prevent confirmation bias in EBM? As always, provide substantive support of your views and opinions using appropriate research articles.

Through personal research, evaluate the needs to intubate a patient and the variables that make the process difficult, and the proper assessment tactics that would indicate failure to secure the airway.

RES 321: Module 1–Essay

When evaluating a patient for emergency airway management, the first assessment should be of the patency and adequacy of the airway.

Four Key Signs of Upper Airway Obstruction

Muffled or “Hot Potato” voice (as though the patient is speaking with a mouthful of hot food)
Inability to swallow secretions, either because of pain or obstruction
Stridor
Dyspnea
The first two signs do not necessarily herald imminent total upper airway obstruction;
stridor, if new or progressive, usually does, and dyspnea also is a compelling symptom.

Through personal research, evaluate the needs to intubate a patient and the variables that make the process difficult, and the proper assessment tactics that would indicate failure to secure the airway.

Identify the organ/organ system that has the direct influence on maintaining the normal range.

RES 330: Module 1–Essay

Hemodynamic Organ or System

For each of the selected hemodynamic parameters;

Pulmonary artery pressure,
Pulmonary wedge pressure,
Cardiac output,
Mean arterial pressure, and
Central venous pressure,

Identify the organ/organ system that has the direct influence on maintaining the normal range. You can define in your own terms, and make sure to cite any sources used.
