Childhood obesity

Area of focus: Brighton and Hove

Learning Outcome one: Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of key contemporary public health issues and perspectives including the factors that affect health and wellbeing and evaluate the impact of policy, health economics and ethics in reducing inequalities in health.

Learning outcome two: Critically analyse models of health promotion and their use in public health. (For example, The transtheoretical model of change, Health education, service improvement and Advocacy model (HESIAD).

Learning outcome three: Identify and critically evaluate strategies which aim to address health inequality at a community and population level and discuss the effectiveness of these services in meeting childhood obesity.

This piece of work need to include local and national data to identify that childhood obesity is a public health issue in the Uk and specifically Brighton and Hove. If there are challenges to collect the data, this also needs to be highlighted in the essay to critique.

Tips: The kings fund and the health Foundation are good website that touch on inequalities in healthcare.

– All the learning outcomes have to be linked to childhood obesity.

– Which health promotion model is best appropriate in tackling childhood obesity and in line with the aim of the CHANGE4LIFE strategy.

Describe at least one partnership-related theoretical perspective and one model and then apply your understanding of these to your chosen HSC organisation (Mental health services in London), being it yours or from a case study.

Working in Partnership with People who use Mental Health and Social Care Services

1) A historical account (around 900 words ).

Describe the partnership history related to the field of health and social care, chose one particular aspect(Mental health services in London after 2nd WW up todays modern era of technology and medicine ) or era from this history and then explain how you would situate your Health and Social Care (HSC) organisation or a case study within that historical period, also from the perspective of any issues that might arise around values and ethical dealings

2) A theoretical account (around 900 words ).

Describe at least one partnership-related theoretical perspective and one model and then apply your understanding of these to your chosen HSC organisation (Mental health services in London), being it yours or from a case study.

3) Conclusion-An integration of your reflective journal for a better understanding and application of specific historical and theoretical material. (around 600 words).

Use your reflective journal to provide a more in depth understanding and explanation of why certain historical periods, as well as theories and models are important for our understanding of partnership work in health and social care.

What disease or scientific area are you studying, and why was that chosen as your priority area for the health of the public?

Chemical Lumbar Sympathectomies for Non-reconstructable Ischaemic Limb Pain

Your Rapid Literature Review should be 3000 words, +/-10% (not including references, tables or figures). It should be focussed upon the field you are studying and include the following sections:

Background –

What disease or scientific area are you studying, and why was that chosen as your priority area for the health of the public? This should discuss the public health impact of the disease: the extent to which it impacts upon the health of the general public in terms of morbidity, mortality, incidence and prevalence.

Review question

Search methods –

Explaining how and where you searched, evidence of having planned your search, which search techniques you used and why, detailing your specific article inclusion/exclusion criteria, how many articles you found in each source, any modifications you made in your strategy as you went along, and a precise record of your main search strategy to be included as an appendix.

Review of the selected literature including (but not restricted to) critical appraisal of five papers, identified by you as most relevant and of high quality. The review may include guidelines, but must include critical review of original research, such as the clinical and methodological strengths and weaknesses of the literature studied.

Synthesis of whole literature studied, including knowledge gained in relation to:
Your review question
Amount of good research in this area compared to the health need
Your protocol/study question
Implementation of your project.

How might the underlying pathophysiology of these conditions affect the pharmacotherapeutics you might recommend to help address your patient’s health needs? What education strategies might you recommend for ensuring positive patient health outcomes?

Discussion response

Women’s and Men’s Health, Infectious Disease, and Hematologic Disorders
As an advanced practice nurse, you will likely experience patient encounters with complex comorbidities. For example, consider a female patient who is pregnant who also presents with hypertension, diabetes, and has a recent tuberculosis infection. How might the underlying pathophysiology of these conditions affect the pharmacotherapeutics you might recommend to help address your patient’s health needs? What education strategies might you recommend for ensuring positive patient health outcomes?
For this Discussion, you will be assigned a patient case study and will consider how to address the patient’s current drug therapy plans. You will then suggest recommendations on how to revise these drug therapy plans to ensure effective, safe, and quality patient care for positive patient health outcomes.

To Prepare
Review the Resources for this module and reflect on the different health needs and body systems presented.
Your Instructor will assign you a complex case study to focus on for this Discussion.
Consider how you will practice critical decision making for prescribing appropriate drugs and treatment to address the complex patient health needs in the patient case study you selected.
By Day 3 of Week 9
Post a brief description of your patient’s health needs from the patient case study you assigned. Be specific. Then, explain the type of treatment regimen you would recommend for treating your patient, including the choice or pharmacotherapeutics you would recommend and explain why. Be sure to justify your response. Explain a patient education strategy you might recommend for assisting your patient with the management of their health needs. Be specific and provide examples.

Create the off-season, pre-season and in-season phases/cycles for the athlete using the principles of periodization. When completing the worksheet, be sure to include appropriate scholarly, peer-reviewed references.

52 week long training plan overview

For this assignment we are creating a 52-week training program for the athlete from the previous assignment which I have attached and labeled assignment 1. The main goal is to utilize periodization assuming the last competition or tournament is after week 52. The recommend method is to work backwards from the last week. A link has been provided to better explain periodization. Submit in the same format as assignment 1.

For Assignments 3 and 4 you will be developing the details including the specific training variables, workouts, and competitions so you do not need to include those details yet.

• Create the off-season, pre-season and in-season phases/cycles for the athlete using the principles of periodization.

• Phases/cycles should include the duration of each part of the yearly plan with the number of weeks that each part is followed, and an overview of the relative volume, intensity, and energy systems emphasized.

• The rationale must be explained in at least one paragraph for each phase and/or cycle. Furthermore, any assessments planned during or following each phase should be explained with a detailed rationale (and supporting references).

• You are required to provide a chart for each “season” of the schedule as way of organizing it. The “details” of each season will be filled in during Assignments 3 and 4.

• Ue at least 5 appropriate outside sources to help you develop this program. The worksheet, including visuals must be submitted as a single WORD document, with citations and references in APA format.

• When completing the worksheet, be sure to include appropriate scholarly, peer-reviewed references. Refer to the sample document if you need a refresher on how to include in-text citations within your worksheet.

• Be creative

The worksheet must include:

1. Minimum 5 appropriate peer-reviewed references

2. In-text APA citations & a reference list

3. Written in a scholarly tone

4. Charts/graphs (or other visuals)
