Briefly discuss the problem and its historical evolution to its current state. The problem can be general. The population can be loosely identified in broad terms. The focus is on identifying problems and how policy, healthcare professionals, and issues influence the problem within a population.

Analyze the major factors and issues affecting the problem.

Immunohistochemistry, Haematopathology and Histopathology

The Coursework Portfolio is a body of work involving a mix of collaborative and individual tasks based on the practical study of histopathology and haematology cases. You will be working with a variety of tools to produce a range of content that can be reviewed formatively and assessed summatively. These tasks will involve laboratory practicals, digital case studies, and workshops that will generate content for assessment.

In P3 you will be using an immunohistochemical technique to demonstrate the presence and histological distribution of (cyto)keratins in selected tissues. The practical will be assessed by critical evaluation of the results presented as a figure with commentary.

The two case studies, one each for Cellular Pathology and Haematopathology be rooted in the cognate lectures, practicals, and workshops. In both case you will know the diagnosis but you will be asked to discuss aspects of the laboratory diagnostic workflow and underlying pathobiology.
