Is America the World’s Largest Sponsor of Terrorism?

Is America the World’s Largest Sponsor of Terrorism?
Many prominent scholars have concluded that the global rise in state-sponsored terror was a result of U.S. foreign policy. The U.S. had been supporting Al Qaeda and other Terrorists/ Freedom Fighters in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Libya, Syria, and Iran (Links to an external site.). We also support Saudi Arabia which follows Wahhabism as their secular belief and despises Christianity. They support known Terrorists and finance many of the Terrorist groups that want to harm America. Why are we supporting regimes that want to see us destroyed?
Additionally, the CIA has the Red Cell Memorandum on the United States “exporting terrorism.” Why does so-called Terrorist from around the planet want to bring down America and our way of life? What do you believe is the reason we spend more on weapons of destruction than the next 7 strongest countries combined? Are we Terrorists in denial here in America?
Finally, what do you believe is the reason we just pulled out of Syria year and want to invade Venezuela? What issues do we have with the South American oil giant? Don’t we have enough issues here at home that need to be confronted before we claim helping set up Democracies in nations that do not want or need our assistance?
This is NOT an Opinion Paper!!!

Is this a fair comparison? Are both groups trying to achieve the same goals? Can it work? Why or why not? Prove your point.

You are responsible for writing a 3 page, double-spaced “Opinion” paper in 12 font on this issue.
We have seen Left/Right Wing and Separatist groups rearing their ugly heads in America. California with 77, Florida 58, and Texas 57 are leading the way. Between 2008 and 2015 the number of Hate Groups increased from 149 in 2008 to 1007 in 2012; and 917 as of August 2019 in the U.S.
In August 2017, we saw a group of White Nationalist clash with anti-Hate groups in Charlottesville, VA. One protester, two officers were killed and 100s injured.
Our readings put the KKK and White Nationalists in the same group like the Black Panther and the Nation of Islam. Is this a fair comparison? Are both groups trying to achieve the same goals? Can it work? Why or why not? Prove your point.

Identify the other components of “a wider inquiry”, and discuss the relative importance of each of these in determining whether there has been a breach of the duty of care.

Identify the other components of “a wider inquiry”, and discuss the relative importance of each of these in determining whether there has been a breach of the duty of care. Provide authority for your argument from relevant case law.

Discuss why the process is relevant or when it is used. Use real-world examples.

Process analysis involves explaining how something works or how to do something. Your task is to choose an informational process (explaining how something works) that interests you, research it, and write an analysis paper on that process.

Informational processes are ones that are scientific/natural or historical in nature. They are processes that do not need a list of directions.

Topic:

  • How laws changed after 9/11

In addition to a natural or historical process, you could choose a process specific to your career or course of study. For example, if you’re a Political Science major, you might research the process of a bill becoming a law. If you’re a Nursing major, you might research gestation stages. Make sense?

Once you choose a topic, research it – go to the online FTCC library or any library you have access to.

Here is a template for your discussion:

Introduction:

  • Introduce your topic and offer background information on the process. Be creative!
  • Discuss why the process is relevant or when it is used. Use real-world examples.
  • End with a thesis statement that includes the specific steps/phases of the process you will discuss.

Body:

  • Break the process down into paragraphs.
  • Discuss each step or phase in one paragraph.
  • Use the MEAL plan to structure your paragraphs, and include transitions between paragraphs to link the steps/phases.
  • Be descriptive in your discussion and include ONE flowchart (original creation) that allows the reader to see the steps/phases of the process. The flowchart should not take up a whole page – make it comfortable within the body of the paper. Where would the flowchart be most effective in the discussion? You must include this flowchart.
  • Address at least one obstacle that might interfere with or alter the process, and discuss the possible effects.

Conclusion:

  • Restate (not repeat) the thesis statement.
  • Review the main points of the discussion and wrap up the paper (you don’t have to repeat each step of the process).
  •  Describe the expected result(s) of the process and leave the reader with a final thought.

Your essay must be:

  1. 800-1,000 words. Research your topic, and use at least four (4) scholarly sources in your paper. The sources must come from the FTCC library or any other library you have access to.
  2. formatted according to MLA guidelines (this includes using in-text citations and a Works Cited page – papers without citations AND a Works Cited page will earn a zero).
  3. written in 3rd person (the paper is not about you or the reader, so remove yourself and the reader from the text).
