Do a proper review on previous documents or the current attached document on the propose topic. Explain what they did in the articles and explain what you intend doing.

Peacekeeping Operations in Africa: A Comparative analysis of liberia and Sierra Leone Conflict.

This are some of the things to note below when attending to the question topic.

Note:

1) Do a Literature review of an analysis of past authors who have studied areas within the topic and that is why it’s called Literature Review. For example- According to John he stated………. etc.

2) Do a proper review on previous documents (articles) or the current attached document on the propose topic

3) Explain what they did in the articles and explain what you intend doing.

You should use this as a guideline above to answer the questions appropriately.

Review the descriptions of these literary criticisms, as you will need to choose one, research it and then examine the folktale you found through that lens.

Final Paper

Teachers instruction:
The paper should be a minimum of 3 pages long, but no longer than five pages. The Works Cited page does not count toward the minimum.

In your paper, it should be clear what approach you are looking at your folktale through, and what critical lens you are using to examine your fairy tale.

This is a research paper so you must cite your sources using parenthetical citations and create a corresponding Works Cited page according to MLA documentation.

The OWL Purdue online tutoring web page has all of the documentation information you could ever need. I used it in Grad School, it saved me from making many mistakes.

https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/mla_style/mla_formatting_and_style_guide/mla_formatting_and_style_guide.html

Here is an example of a document with written directions for MLA formatting, it is formatted and cited properly.

Every people or nation has its own way of experiencing reality, and so a study of the world’s fairy tales yields a wealth of insights into the archetypal experiences of humankind.

For this final paper research a Folktale that uses anthropomorphic animals to teach a lesson, or makes a point, and make sure to discuss the Folktale’s origins. This might include the cultural background that explains the use of anthropomorphism. (The folktale you use can be from your cultural background, but it should be one that is popular enough to have been printed and discussed.

Here is a webpage that I found with folktales from different countries in the world. (evaluate the fairy tale for its content, will you be able to write a paper about it).

https://www.worldoftales.com/browse_all_folktales.html#gsc.tab=0 Links to an external site. (FYI, I did not spend a lot of time reviewing this webpage, so make sure that you do).

When examining the folktale or story that you chose, you will need to look at it through the lens of one of the literary criticisms that I have outlined below. Depending on the critical lens that you chose, you will need to research your approach.

Limit this to 1-2 sources as the paper is very short and it should NOT be an essay that is made of quotes. Remember when writing essays, the research supports your ideas, not the other way around. One of your sources could very well be the Berger reading, it might help you critique your chosen folktale. Even if you do not use it, keep the information in mind as it discusses the connection between man and animals.

Review the descriptions of these literary criticisms, as you will need to choose one, research it and then examine the folktale you found through that lens.

write a persuasive research essay, exploring an environmental topic in a problem/solution format. Research and describe a problem currently facing us and our environment

Humanity v Nature

For this assignment students will write a persuasive research essay. The essay should explore an environmental topic in a problem/solution format. Students should research and describe a problem currently facing us and our environment. Students should also research and report on solutions to that problem offered by experts. Students should analyze the solutions and discuss which they see as the best and most practical. Each student thesis should make a claim about what they see as the best solution to the problem. Remember a thesis has two parts. First, the claim (what the writer wants the audience to do and or believe). Second, the reasons (why the audience should do and or believe whatever the claim is).

The presentation and analysis of data and expert opinions (evidence that supports the reasons) will take place in the body paragraphs of the essay. Example Thesis: “The best kind of reusable grocery bag is a recycled plastic bag because it is reusable, washable and the materials have already been taken out of the environment.” Here the problem may have been described as all the waste created by disposable plastics. The solution, to figure out what kind of grocery bag is the most eco-friendly.

Topic development will be extremely important. Students will want to choose something manageable (something that isn’t “too big” to write about in the allotted page count). Research will also be essential. High quality sources need to be used—popular media physical resources students may use. Students need to use a minimum of 4 sources. There are a variety of topics students could possibly write on: alternative/sustainable energy, specific endangered species or environments; the impact of the food industry on the environment; what we do with our waste; plastic and waste in the ocean; how will we feed the growing population; rising sea levels and coastal cities. This is a very, very short list to get you started thinking. There are many possible topics. If you have an idea but are unsure, discuss it with me. The essay should be 4 pages in length (5 pages maximum). All essays need to meet the requirements of the good writing rubric on the syllabus. All essays need to use APA for formatting and citation (in-text citations and a works cited page). The assignment is worth 200 Points.

Based on your analysis of the text, do you believe that Constance Blackwood’s character is ultimately freed of the expectations placed on a woman in the mid twentieth century?

Female Power in We Have Always Lived in the Castle

The most central relationship in Shirley Jackson’s novel “We Have Always Lived in the Castle” is between the sisters Constance and Merricat Blackwood. In her article “The Establishment and Preservation of Female Power in Shirley Jackson’s We Have Always Lived in the Castle,” Lynette Carpenter argues that the centralizing of this relationship works to defy patriarchal structures of power for both sisters.

Based on your analysis of the text, do you believe that Constance Blackwood’s character is ultimately freed of the expectations placed on a woman in the mid twentieth century?

Your paper should address the following questions: how is power distributed between the sisters? Does Constance have agency in how she lives? Is her position different in the end of the text than it would have been if she had married Charles Blackwood and rejoined the structures and strictures of organized society? If she is living in a way that you would argue does not fit traditional gender roles, why not? If you would argue that she is still performing the roles assigned to a woman under the patriarchal structures of mid-century society, how so?

Your paper should include AT LEAST two quotes from the novel “We Have Always Lived in the Castle”, as well as two quotes from Carpenter’s article to support your conclusion. Please cite the novel and the article.
