Analyze customer profiles for each product by creating appropriate tables and charts

1)Identify the type (i.e.,categorical, numerical, discrete numerical) of each variable in the sample(e.g., Product, age, etc.)?

Q2)Analyze customer profiles for each product by creating appropriate tables and charts (e.g., summary tables, contingency tables, side-by-side bar charts, pie charts, stem and leaf display, frequency distribution tables, histograms etc.).In your analysis use at least one of each tables and charts listed in the parenthesisabove. Discuss your findingsvery briefly.

Q3)Analyzecustomer profiles for each product using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, quartiles). Create at least two summary tables andtwoboxplotsfor each product. Discuss your findings very briefly.

Answer one of the following two questions:

Q4)(a) Create at least two (at least 4 in total) 95% confidence interval estimates of variables of your choice for each productand explain your results very briefly.

(b) Analyze whether there exists differences between males and females in theirmean age and mean income. Using an F-test first to check whether each population has the same variance and, then, use the relevant t-test to check the differences in means. Discuss your results very briefly. OR

Q5)BUSCON consultants would like to use this data to study the income level of each customer. They think that age, education, gender and relation status are the independent variables that might affect the income. Perform a multiple regression analysis to identify the significant variables and present your final model

Discuss the patterns of learning across the whole class relative to conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, & mathematical reasoning

EdTPA paper Analysis of whole class classwork, Using examples from the summary chart, discuss the patterns of learning across the whole class relative to conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, & mathematical reasoning/problem-solving skills. In this summary you are clearly explaining class patterns of correct understandings and common errors. Then you are explaining why the students are making the common errors. This means you need to look at the data set again and see the typical mistakes. As you identify each, use a student’s work sample to illustrate this pattern.

Discuss what you already know about EXPONENTIAL EQUATIONS

*Discuss what you already know about EXPONENTIAL EQUATIONS.

*Discuss what information that the videos shared about the EXPONENTIAL EQUATIONS BEING USED IN THE REAL WORLD.

*Talk about EXPONENTIAL EQUATIONS outside of class like:

-in your own life,

-in the world around you (bacteria, investment growth or decay – , etc)how the concept applies to your career interests (if applicable).

*Conclude by asking what questions you still have about EXPONENTIAL EQUATIONS USAGE IN THE REAL WORLD.

What are the yield to maturity and the yield to call of the bond?

Homework AD 717

Bond Yields and Prices

Unless stated otherwise, round your answers to two decimal points, and do not round intermediate calculations.

Problem 1. [25 points]A newly issued bond pays its coupons once annually. Its coupon rate is 5%, its maturity is 20 years, and its yield to maturity is 6%.

  1. Find the price of the bond.
  2. After one year, the bond is selling at a yield to maturity of 5.5%. Find the holding period return if you sell the bond after one year.
  3. If you sell the bond after one year, what taxes will you owe? Assume that the tax rate on interest income is 40% and the tax rate on capital gains income is 30%.
  4. What is the after-tax holding period return on the bond?

Problem 2. [25 points]

A 30-year maturity, 8% coupon bond paying coupons semiannually is callable in five years at a call price of $1,020. The bond currently sells for $1,059.34.

  1. What are the yield to maturity and the yield to call of the bond?
  2. What would be the yield to call annually if the call price were only $970?
  3. What would be the yield to call annually if the call price were $1,020, but the bond could be called in two years instead of five years?
  4. Sketch the price of the bond as a function of the interest rate.

Problem 3: Bond Research. [50 points]

Consider the following tradeable bonds.

Company Ticker Bond ID Par Value Coupon Maturity
Apple AAPL US037833CX61 $1,000.00 3.000% Jun 20, 2027
Disney DIS US254687FP66 $1,000.00 3.700% Mar 23, 2027
Tesla TSLA US88160RAE18 $1,000.00 5.300% Aug 15, 2025
McDonald’s MCD US58013MES98 $1,000.00 3.250% Jun 10, 2024

  1. For the bonds listed, find the current bid and ask prices.
  2. Based on the stock you were assigned at the beginning of the semester, study the appropriate bond.
    1. Research the details of the bond for example, how often and at what dates is the bonds paying coupons; is the bond international or domestic; what is the size of the issue; is the bond fixed or floating rate; is the bond convertible, callable, or puttable.
    2. What is the credit rating of the issuer of the bond? How is this credit rating reflected in the yield of the bond? If possible, quantify the credit spread.
To do this, follow these steps. First, approximate the maturity of the bond in years. Then find the yield of the US Treasury note with the same maturity. If necessary, take the average of two bonds. For example, if your bond matures in 4 years, use the 3-year and 5-year Treasuries.

Choose one newspaper, online journal, or library article that presents results of a survey, poll, or global information and identify the categories used to present the results.

Choose one newspaper, online journal, or library article that presents results of a survey, poll, or global information and identify the categories used to present the results. Do you think those categories are well defined (make sure you look up the definition of well defined in the book)? Present a different way to organize and categorize the results. How do you think rearranging categories would affect the communication of the article´s conclusions?

What is the importance of math literacy? How math literacy can affect students at all educational levels?

The paper should discuss some of the following questions and any other information that is relevant to math literacy. What is math literacy? What is the importance of math literacy? How math literacy can affect students at all educational levels? How can students grow in achieving math literacy? How does math literacy affect how students learn?

Calculate the test by hand. Make sure to follow Steps 1-4 of the hypothesis testing procedure.

PSYC 381:  Assignment #3

Z-test, Single Sample t-test, & Two Sample t-tests

  1. A researcher tests if the introduction of fluoride to the drinking water will significantly reduce the average number of cavities among children. Last year the average number of cavities was μ = 2.32, with σ = 0.46. This year fluoride was introduced. Thirty six children are sampled, and have an average of 2.07 cavities.  Using α = .05, test the hypothesis. Remember to follow the 4 steps of hypothesis-testing that were outlined in the lecture
  2. In the following studies (a and b) a single sample mean is being compared to a population with a known mean but an unknown variance. Determine what test to conduct for study a and for study b. Decide whether there is a significant difference between means. (If the df is not given in the table, use the t for the closest highest df value). Go through each step of the hypothesis testing procedure. Be sure to show all of your computations.

The next test need to be completed by hand and using SPSS – as always you need to follow the steps for testing hypotheses.

An experiment was performed to measure the effect of sleep deprivation on cognitive performance. Sixteen college juniors were randomly selected from a group of volunteers and arbitrarily assigned either to a sleep deprivation group or a control group. The participants in the sleep deprivation group were kept awake for 24 hours; the members of the control group had a normal night’s sleep. Participants were asked to perform a simple mental arithmetic task, and the time it took each participant to complete the task was recorded. The results were as follows:

Sleep Deprivation

Group

Control

Group

11 13
15 8
13 14
5 11
16 2
20 2
21 17
13 5

Do these data indicate a significant difference between the treatments at the .05 level of significance?

  1. Calculate the test by hand. Make sure to follow Steps 1-4 of the hypothesis testing procedure. For hand calculations here is some additional information: Sleep Deprivation group: SS = 181.5; Control Group SS = 224.
  2. Enter the data into SPSS. Save the file as <question4_yourlastname.sav>. Upload the file using the Assignment tool.
  • In SPSS conduct the appropriate statistical test, and ask for descriptive statistics. Print the output, and annotate the printout.

To do this print the SPSS output, annotate directly on the sheet, scan and save as a PDF. You can then upload that to the final assignment document.

  • Submit a single PDF or .doc file that contains your
hand calculations and your responses to all questions
and the annotated SPSS output for Question 4.
