2. The barriers or factors that underlie health disparities are many, as we have learned in this course. It can be something as difficult as not having health insurance or safe and healthy housing, but it can also be that your health is not as good as it could be because your family and friends (social circle) have certain habits that keep you from moving forward with eating healthier or exercising more or because of smoking and/or drinking behaviors that are hard to avoid. There are also socioeconomic reasons for not attaining the level of health desired.
