Choose a disease (any disease) and FABRICATE a patient with all signs/ symptoms and lab results.

FABRICATE a case-study

Signature Assignment: Choose a disease (any disease) and FABRICATE a patient with all signs/ symptoms and lab results. You are going to FABRICATE a case-study and answer all the questions listed. My advice is to be descriptive and the more you write, the better your paper will be. Your Signature Assignment should be 4-8 pages NOT including title page and reference page. Please use a MINIMUM of 4 REFERENCES (two of the four should be scholarly journals) to support your paper. I am posting a Sample Signature Assignment below for your reference. Please follow the Structural Format of the sample paper. In order to write a case study paper, you must carefully address a number of sections in a specific order with specific information contained in each. The guideline below outlines each of those sections.

You will be graded on how well you complete each of the above sections. You will also be graded on your use of APA Style and on your application of nursing journals into the treatments and interventions. For integrating nursing journals, remember the following:

Make sure to integrate citations into all of your paper

Support all claims of what the disease is, why it occurs and how to treat it with references to the literature on this disease

Always use citations for information that you learned from a book or article; if you do not cite it, you are telling your reader that YOU discovered that information (how to treat the disease, etc.)

Section Information to Include
Introduction (patient and problem)
  • Explain who the patient is (Age, gender, etc.)
  • Explain what the problem is (What were they diagnosed with, or what happened?)
  • Introduce your main argument (What should you as a nurse focus on or do?)
Pathophysiology
  • Explain the disease (What are the symptoms? What causes it?)
History
  • Explain what health problems the patient has (Have they been diagnosed with other diseases?)
  • Detail any and all previous treatments (Have they had any prior surgeries or are they on medication?)
Nursing Physical Assessment
  • List all the patient’s health stats in sentences with specific numbers/levels (Blood pressure, bowel sounds, ambulation, etc.)
Related Treatments
  • Explain what treatments the patient is receiving because of their disease
Nursing Diagnosis & Patient Goal
  • Explain what your nursing diagnosis is (What is the main problem for this patient? What need to be addressed?)
  • Explain what your goal is for helping the patient recover (What do you want to change for the patient?)
Nursing Interventions
  • Explain how you will accomplish your nursing goals, and support this with citations (Reference the literature)
Evaluation
  • Explain how effective the nursing intervention was (What happened after your nursing intervention? Did the patient get better?)
Recommendations
  • Explain what the patient or nurse should do in the future to continue recovery/improvement

Conduct a literature search on your approved nursing practice problem. Find two translational research articles, one quantitative article, and one qualitative article. Using the “Translational Research Graphic Organizer,” present your proposed topic and, in the tables provided, compare one translational study to the quantitative study, and one translational study to the qualitative study.

Main assignment wk 1

The purpose of this assignment is to conduct a comparison on different research designs to better understand their designs and application. Understanding the different types of research design is important so that nurses can effectively apply evidence-based research into practice to address issues and offer better patient care.

You will utilize your approved nursing practice problem to complete the evidence-based practice project proposal assignments for this course and NUR-590, during which you will synthesize all of the sections into a final written paper detailing your evidence-based practice project proposal.

Review feedback from your instructor on your “Evidence-Based Practice Project Proposal: Identification of Nursing Practice Problem,” submitted in Topic 1. If your original proposed nursing problem was outside the scope of nursing practice or not conducive to an evidence-based practice project proposal, work with your instructor to identify a new topic prior to beginning this assignment. If your proposed topic requires revision, complete this prior to beginning this assignment.

Refer to the “Evidence-Based Practice Project Proposal – Assignment Overview” document for an overview of the evidence-based practice project proposal assignments.

You are required to cite four peer-reviewed sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years and appropriate for the assignment criteria and nursing content.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

Choose one provision from the ANA Code of Ethics. How is ethical behavior an integral part of being a nurse leader? How does one communicate the characteristics of a role model with this provision? Do ethics influence the leadership style of the nurse leader? Explain your rationale.

Nursing Question

Choose one provision from the ANA Code of Ethics. How is ethical behavior an integral part of being a nurse leader? How does one communicate the characteristics of a role model with this provision? Do ethics influence the leadership style of the nurse leader? Explain your rationale.

Provision 1 of the ANA Code of Ethics states that compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth, and distinctive qualities of every individual are practiced by nurses (ANA, n.d.). Trust, respect, and professionalism is fostered in the workplace when leaders integrate ethical behavior in their practice. Nurse leaders are expected to uphold ethical standards like honesty, integrity, and respect for the rights and dignity of others. Ethical leadership is characterized by a commitment to social justice, transparency, and responsible stewardship of resources (Williams, 2022). By practicing ethical behaviors, nurse leaders can inspire and motivate others to act ethically and responsibly. Effective communication of the characteristics of being a role model is done by using clear and simple language, providing examples of positive behavior, and using stories or scenarios to illustrate these characteristics. Through its ability too engage audiences and maintain their interest, storytelling has the potential to create a shared understanding among people about a situation, a topic, or a problem and help audiences form deep connections (Sundin et al., 2018).

Nurse leaders that exhibit the transformational style prioritize ethics in their decision-making. They emphasize ethical considerations, teamwork and collaboration, that leads to positive work environments. According to Moon & Jung (2018), ethical leadership styles lead to improved organizational outcomes like job satisfaction, retention, and improved patient safety. It is crucial for leaders to uphold ethical principles and standards of their practice and model the behaviors to influence and inspire others to do the same.

Why is the patient in the hospital: (Provide brief statement which led to the patient’s admission to hospital/facility i.e., need rehab post CVA)?

Weekly Nursing Process Worksheet

Instructions: Each clinical day each student will develop a nursing process outline for one patient of their choice. This portion of your clinical day is of the utmost importance. It provides you with key teaching-learning opportunities for your clinical practice and focuses on your ability to demonstrate patient care management with specific disease states through the AAPIE: Assess Analyze Plan Implement Evaluate. In this manner, what is the major purpose for using Tanner’s model of clinical Judgement? involves recognizing that an issue exists (patient problem), analyzing information about issues (clinical data about a patient), evaluating information (reviewing assumptions & evidence), and making conclusions.

These are quick notes and what should be assessed and what should be done throughout the shift. Expect to hone the skills of communication by focusing on the essentials of the care that was provided in handoff report and be able to “give report” utilizing the AAPIE format. These will be discussed in clinical and in post conferences with the faculty. Upload to CANVAS After the conference.
