PICO QUESTION: how advances in healthcare information management and information technology have improved the quality of life for patients and health professionals alike?

Using your PICO question, locate a relevant primary, peer-reviewed research article that would inform your question and attach a link to your initial post. Describe why this article qualifies as primary research. Then, choose one section, other than the abstract, assess the information it provides, and describe its potential to inform evidence-based practice

PRIMARY research studies are those studies that are written by the actual people who conducted the study being shared, not a study that they read about and are commenting on. Pay close attention when selecting your studies to ensure they meet the above criteria.

Type 2 Diabetes

D#3. Signs and Symptoms (1 point): List the sign and symptoms associated with this disease and describe the pathology causing at least TWO (2) of the signs or symptoms

The purpose of this assignment is to prepare students, lifelong learners, an opportunity to analyze research of pathophysiologic disease processes while utilizing valid online databases and search engines in preparation for their written and oral case presentations. Groups will need to upload a rough draft of their pathophysiology paper. The rubric is found in the appendix of the syllabus.

Rough Draft Guidelines

Sometimes “poor” research methods are being utilized today because technology is so accessible to everyone. This assignment is given to prepare students to research peer reviewed journals for articles.

Begin writing on your topic; find, list, and cite, at least three resources, which are peer reviewed and current (within 5 years) on the subject of the assigned group pathophysiology disease process.

Answer the first three sections of the written portion and submit to .

Upload one document per group to . Turnitin is an external platform that compares papers uploaded to other sources in the literature and will give a similarity index once submitted.

It is important that the paper is written in your own words and appropriate citation is used throughout the narrative to cite sources.

#1 .Description of the disease: Introduce the topic with definition. List risk factors, occurrence rates (2 points)

#2. Pathological Mechanism (2 points): Underlying the disease process. Describe in detail what occurs in body that causes disease

#3. Signs and Symptoms (1 point): List the sign and symptoms associated with this disease and describe the pathology causing at least TWO (2) of the signs or symptoms

Health History and Medical Information

Health History

Mrs. J. is a 63-year-old married woman who has a history of hypertension, chronic heart failure, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
