Video Assignments:

We will be watching 10 videos about important “game changers” in business during the semester. Select 1 video from each segment seen below and write a one-page (single spaced) essay about the video. You will only be submitting 5 essays in total based upon your choice in each segment. The assignment is graded on a scale of 0-10 points. In particular, the essay should address the following points:

1. Who is the game changer? (company or companies, background, etc.)

2. What did the game changer do to gain success?

3. What mistakes, if any, did the game changer make?

4. What aspects of strategy, either formulation or implementation, or both can be found in the video? (Most difficult, yet important question)

Your friend Jamie has been smoking something in order to lose weight. Jamie tells you that smoking has not only gotten her to stop snacking, but also allows her to concentrate harder when studying, especially for the next Psych exam. For Podcasts 3 and 4, you will choose a topic that is directly connected to your mental illness. For example, if you choose childhood ADHD, you can examine the highly debated issues around medicating children with stimulants. Is this effective? What are the controversial issues? OR how does childhood schizophrenia look different than adult schizophrenia? Each of the mental illnesses have specific issues that warrant a more comprehensive examination.

Instructions:
For the podcast assignment, you will be producing a 5 series Podcast related to a childhood mental illness that meets DSM V criteria. The entire podcast will consist of 5 separate videos, each ranging between 7-10 minutes in length. These will be due on separate dates throughout the semester so that you can devote appropriate time and resources to each segment. Each podcast is worth 20 points, for a total of 100 points.
