Compare and contrast the basic orientations and teachings of Confucianism, Daoism and Chinese Buddhism.

Compare and contrast the basic orientations and teachings of Confucianism, Daoism and Chinese Buddhism.
To what extent and in what ways do you find them compatible?
What are their points of contact and departure?

For this assignment you should refer to the assigned portions of the Chinese Religions e-book. Page numbers are required for all references to the e-book.Add on separate section of essay – short 1 paragraph answers to the following questions:
1. Is Confucianism a religion?
2. Does Daoism contradict
3. How is Chinese Buddhism different from Indian Buddhism?
4. In what ways do the Zen and Pure Land traditions capture the Buddha′s original teachings?

Compare and contrast Hinduism and Buddhism.

The second similarities paragraph is really irrelevant to the paper. Symbols are the same but this is irrelevant to my paper. The third similarities patient is quite vague and needs redone more specific or add another similarity between both religions. Honestly, read the paper its not good. It looks like the paper is just thrown together and there is no flow. In a formal paper (approximately 500 words), compare and contrast Hinduism and Buddhism. Each religion has many variations, so you may focus on one branch or sect of each religion. This discussion should focus on each religion’s view of health and sickness.

All formal essays at MCCN require APA formatting. You will need to cite at least THREE distinct references to successfully complete this assignment.

How can general sociological concepts be applied to the subfield?

In addition to the material we covered this semester, there is a number of other chapters in your textbook, each of which deals with a subfield of sociological research that can benefit from the broader perspectives we have directly studied. These chapters are:

Demography
Aging
Economy
Family
Religion
Health and Medicine
Collective Behavior
Choose one of these chapters and prepare a presentation (e.g., PowerPoint) or written review. You will need to address the following:

What are the general perspectives and conclusions that exist in the subfield you have chosen?
How can major sociological theories (such as structural-functionalism, symbolic interactionism, conflict theory, and interaction theory) be applied to the subfield? Choose at least two.
How can general sociological concepts be applied to the subfield? Choose at least two of the following:
Structure
Culture
Socialization
Social inequality
Social identity
Power and authority (counts as one)
Deviance
Social change
Your score on this project will depend on how thoroughly you fulfill these requirements.

You are not required to use any references other than your textbook, but please make sure to identify them if you do. Note, however, that your score will suffer if you simply review what is already in your text; you must do your own work to apply the theories and concepts from this course to the chapter you choose. There are no formal requirements for citation style. If you choose to do a written review of the subfield, it does not need to meet the formal requiremenfktts of an essay or research paper.

How might kindness, care, and empathy be essential parts ofbeing in the medical profession even if the official job description does notmention that?

1●One Page and a half Essay, APA 7th Edition Format●2 References●Adhere to all instructions on this page.Thank you.In the video on the link,https://www.ted.com/talks/barry_schwartz_our_loss_of_wisdomm Barry Schwartz talksabout the notion of virtue and practical wisdom. See Aristotle’s virtue ethics,Utilitarianism by Mill, Virtue and the Moral life by Mayo, The Moral Law by Kant, andThe Ethics of Care by Held. One of the claims Barry Schwartz makes is that specific rules and policies can harmwhat they actually intend to help.Answer Questions: How might kindness, care, and empathy be essential parts ofbeing in the medical profession even if the official job description does notmention that? Do you think it is “preposterous” on its face to have a “rule” aboutbeing empathetic and having a good character? If we appeal only to rules andpolicies, is this a war on practical wisdom?Things to consider in your essay:According to Aristotle virtue is not something that one simply ‘decides to have’ butsomething one must develop into a habit from an early age. For Aristotle, ethics is notabout making individual rational choices based on rules but from an early agedeveloping the type of character that tends to make the right kind of choices.

2Practical wisdom is the combination of moral skill and moral will. Real world problemsare complex and sometimes do not conform to strict rules. A wise person knows whento make an exception to the rules.1. How might too many rules prevent people from doing their job to the best of theirability?2. How might incentives backfire according to Barry Schwartz?3. Given a rule it is usually possible to interpret it in a malicious way. If your teachermakes only one rule, “do not disrupt class with your cell phone”, could you still disruptthe class in another way while still following the rule? What does this say about thedifference between following rules to the letter vs. following the spirit of the rules?4. How might policies surrounding standardized testing encourage teachers to onlyfollow the rules and teach to the test? Could this keep teachers from educating theirstudents to develop good character and inspire a thirst for learning and wisdom

Write 400-500 words in which you discuss your reactions to this study.

Religion is viewed by many as something that brings joy and satisfaction to life. But there is another side to religion that is captured by the idea of the Dark Night of the Soul. This can be a dark, painful experience at the time, but often is interpreted positively by the religious person. This has important implications for mental health professionals and how they view these experiences.

Read the research article by Dr. Durà-Vilà The dark night of the soul: Causes and resolution of emotional distress among contemplative nuns. (Click here) Although conducted with Catholic nuns, the findings and issues are relevant for all branches of Christianity (and some other religions).

Write 400-500 words in which you discuss your reactions to this study. Focus particularly on the implications of these findings for healthcare professionals. Include a discussion about whether you agree or disagree with the last sentence of the article that begins with, “In times where modern medicine…” Like the Module 4 Assignment, this assignment is reflective writing. It requires good grammar, citation and references, but does not require a title page, headerfkts, and a reference page.

Develop a brief biblical, theological argument concerning what God’s design for the church gathering is in regard to the arguments presented in both books.

Compare & Contrast Model Paper the Prodigal Church by Jared Wilson and Deep and Wide by Andy Stanley. Instructions:
Develop a brief biblical, theological argument concerning what God’s design for the church gathering is in regard to the arguments presented in both books. Arguments must be developed from Scripture with scriptural citations (i.e., Heb 10:24-25). My goal for this paper is to ensure you understand the arguments and know how to make a basic biblical argument.

Let me give you a suggestion. When you present your view, follow this system.

1. Exegete and explain a biblical passage or group of passages while stating the biblical position.

2. Then, provide citations from other scholars showing how they agree with your conclusion. Commentaries are incredibly helpful here along with other books. (You should use ample sources to support your arguments throughout your paper.)

Optional:

3. If you want to even go a step further, you can then show how the other side might respond to your position.

4. Answer their objection, and show how, even in light of their objection, your position is stronger and more rooted in Scripture.

One last hint. Use passages that specifically speak to the corporate gathering time of the church and not just the “sending” mission of the church as they go out.

Reflect on how considering these concepts when faced with an ethical challenge could help reduce conflict or produce a more socially aware outcome.

Review pages 171–198 of the course text, Gods in the Global Village.
Review the article, “Karma and Dharma: New Links in an Old Chain.”
Watch the video of Pope Francis’s 2015 speech at the joint session of the U.S. Congress, paying particular attention to the Pope’s messages about social responsibility and the role of legislatures in supporting the most vulnerable members of society.

Consider personal examples of how the concepts of karma and dharma have been evident in your life.
Reflect on how considering these concepts when faced with an ethical challenge could help reduce conflict or produce a more socially aware outcome.

Post a brief paragraph describing a personal experience with the concepts of karma and dharma. In a second paragraph, explain how understanding and using the concepts of karma and dharma can inspire more social responsibility and/or reduce conflict. Support your assertions by making at least 2 references, in proper APA formafktt, to your course readings.

create a reflective assessment of your learning experience and the collaborations you engaged in throughout this session.

In this session, you have been considering moral-ethical dilemmas you yourself faced or that you know of that you either resolved or failed to resolve, but hopefully learned from. You may never have given much thought to ethical theory nor what ethical premises/paradigms you have unconsciously held.

You will be focusing on this case for this assignment:

Jane Doe is a nursing student at University X. Jane is in week eight of a course entitled: “Introduction to Ethics”.

For the week one discussion, Jane copied work done by her friend John Doe in the same class two months ago (with a different professor). John told Jane it was okay to use his work as John’s professor never checked any work in the class using Turnitin.com. John claimed to have earned an A on the work also.

In week two, Jane went to StudentPapering.com and paid ten dollars for a week two essay done by a student (not John Doe) who took the same course four months ago. StudentPapering promises that all its archived work is of excellent quality and cannot be detected as copied. Jane then uploaded an exact copy of the work for the week two assignment.

In week three, Jane paid a worker at PaperingStudent.com ten dollars to write for Jane a brand new essay after Jane shared with the worker the essay assignment instructions.

In week four, Jane relied on her knowledge of Esperanto. She felt pressed for time and found an article by a professor from Esperanto on the week four topic. She translated Esperanto into English using Moogle Translate, and the translated text served as her week four paper.

In week five, Jane was running late again. Jane purposely uploaded a blank paper hoping that she would later claim it was an innocent mistake and not be assessed a late penalty. In a previous course on History, she had done the same (with an earlier paper from the History class rather than simply a blank) and had not seen any late penalty assessed.

In week six, Jane took work she did in a nursing course from a year ago and submitted that for her discussion posting in her current class. She simply copied and pasted the work she had labored intensively on a year ago (even though University X forbids this practice as ‘self-plagiarism’). Jane was confident her Nursing instructor never checked that work using Turnitin.com or another method.

In week seven, Jane copied and pasted work found on website.com for the paper. Jane did not use any quotation marks or other documentation to show the text was not by Jane.

Since Jane’s Ethics professor did not check papers and posting for any issues by using Turnitin.com or another method, the professor graded all of Jane’s work unaware of Jane’s actions throughout the weeks of the class. Jane feels her actions are morally justified both because her economic situation requires her to work too much to devote time to school (although other students are well-off enough to have such time) and her religion forbids cheating, but Jane ignores her religion’s teachings.

Instructions
Now that you have had an opportunity to explore ethics formally, create a reflective assessment of your learning experience and the collaborations you engaged in throughout this session. You will submit both of the following:

A written reflection
An oral presentation using a PowerPoint narrated slide show.
For the written reflection, address Jane Doe’s and respond to the following:

Articulate again your moral theory from week eight discussion (You can revise it if you wish). What two ethical theories best apply to it? Why those two?
Apply to Jane Doe’s case your personal moral philosophy as developed in week eight discussion and now. Use it to determine if what Jane Doe did was ethical or unethical per your own moral philosophy.
Consider if some of these examples are more grave instances of ethical transgressions than others. Explain.
Propose a course of social action and a solution by using the ethics of egoism, utilitarianism, the “veil of ignorance” method, deontological principles, and/or a theory of justice to deal with students like Jane. Consider social values such as those concerning ways of life while appraising the interests of diverse populations (for instance, those of differing religions and economic status).
For the oral presentation, briefly summarize your feelings about taking a course in Ethics and explore your process of transformation in this course.

Discuss your experiences of the course, your beginnings, and where you are now. Consider your interaction in discussions.
Should health care workers be required to take a course in Ethics? Why or why not
