What role (if any) can eating insects play in ensuring future global food security?

What role (if any) can eating insects play in ensuring future global food security? Main stakeholder/scholarly discipline: from the perspective of a place that already consumes bugs Second scholarly discipline perspective: policymakers perspective Summarize the key concerns and evidence used by your assigned stakeholder or disciplinary perspective and contrast it with at least one other perspective researched by your group. You will synthesize the different sides of the debate in a well-researched paper in which you: -Integrate discussion of how 2 different scholarly disciplines or stakeholder groups view the issue; -Consider the implications of different solutions for society and/or the environment; and – Conclude with your own informed perspective and policy recommendations of how the issue should be addressed in the future based on what you learned in your research. In 1300-1600 words, the paper should be structured to include the following: Introduction – Start with a hook to grab the readers’ attention. In 1-2 paragraphs, introduce the debate topic, and provide an overview of what you will accomplish in the paper. Clearly state which two stakeholder or disciplinary perspectives you will discuss. Background of the debate topic – In 2-3 paragraphs, provide the reader with any relevant background information about your topic. You might discuss historical, political, social, or geographical factors or define key concepts. 2 stakeholder or disciplinary perspectives – The main body of your paper should be dedicated to describing and contrasting at least two stakeholder or disciplinary perspectives of your topic (your assigned perspective as well as at least one other from your peers in your group). Clearly describe which two perspectives you are addressing. Content will vary, but you should attempt to address the following: -How is the topic understood by a particular scholarly discipline or stakeholder group? -What evidence exists to support (or reject) each position? -How does the topic affect different people or places? Can you provide concrete examples from a particular place or people? -What are the considerations, impacts, or benefits of different approaches to addressing the topic based on each stakeholder perspective? Discussion – In 2-3 paragraphs, discuss your findings. What are the implications of different solutions or future pathways for particular people or places impacted by the issue? Conclusion – Summarize your key findings and conclude with your own informed perspective and policy recommendations of how the issue should be addressed in the future. Citations – You must cite at least 6 sources (more is fine) in your paper. At least 3 sources must be from peer-reviewed, scholarly sources. Sources cited must be valid and relevant to the debate topic and stakeholder perspectives. Bibliography – Bibliography must be alphabetized by author last name and use consistent formatting (APA style recommended) The perspective we are meant to be looking at this issue from is the perspective of a place that already eats bugs.

What is the importance of ethical conduct in research, and how might this influence any potential, future research projects that you undertake?

This final PDP Assignment aims to build on the knowledge from the module and apply this to the real world.

This Research Methods module has provided you with an understanding of the principles and skills needed in order to design and conduct business management research.

This week’s Personal Development Portfolio activity will enable you to reflect on your learning and experiences. You will consider how these concepts will apply to the next step, whether this is relating to academic research project or any other research that you may undertake for the investigation of a business problem in your professional context.

To prepare for this PDP Assignment:
Reflect on all the attached KeyConceptOverview files (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) -attached below- in the 8 weeks of this module
REVISIT your Week 4 Personal Development Portfolio file and professor notes:
It is clear that you are making a substantial progress and I am happy seeing that you are becoming familiar with academic research.
It is also very positive that you acknowledge the intricacies of academic research and there is a strong evidence of integration of cumulative learning. It would be great if you could support your arguments with more resources.

To complete this PDP Assignment:
Write a critically reflective paper (900 words):

In completing the PDP, now in Week 8 reconsider the questions posed in Week 4:

How has the information that you have discussed across the entire class, researched and read helped you to understand the practice of academic research and the type of research skills that you have developed over your previous modules?
Have your ideas and views of academic research now changed?
How has your understanding of academic research and your own ability to conduct research developed?
How will you apply what you have learnt so far and overall when conducting future research?
Additionally, consider:
What is the importance of ethical conduct in research, and how might this influence any potential, future research projects that you undertake?

Identify your null hypothesis and research hypothesis

Data Analysis Plan
For this section of your research proposal assignment, you will carefully design a plan for analyzing your quantitative data. Explain in detail how you will go about analyzing your data. Be sure to:

Include definitions of all variables
Identify your null hypothesis and research hypothesis
Include the type of analysis to be conducted (correlation, t-test, confidence interval, regression, ANOVA, ANCOVA, etc.)
Explain why this type of analysis is most appropriate for your research
Identify the significance level (typically set to .05, but may be set to .01 or .10)
Explain what results you are looking for in your quantitative study (how will you know if you will accept or reject your null and research hypothesis?)
APA formatting, references, and citations are required.

Your research project data analysis plan should be included as part of your final submission for your research proposal project in week 7 and your research proposal presentation in week 8. Use the feedback you receive from your instructor on your data analysis plan to modify and improve before submission of your final project in weeks 7 and 8.

. If you are focusing on a past movement or artist, do you see these images being used by today’s activists? How?

Each entry must be 300-500 words with images. Your journal entries should strive to be informative, interesting, and reflective. Make this project your own! Get excited about it and what you’re learning! The first entry must introduce the topic and give a brief history of the movement and the associated graphic design. The second through fourth entries must contain a discussion of the art and/or artists, their history, and important information about their involvement in the movements and collectives. The last entry must be your conclusion. If you are focusing on a past movement or artist, do you see these images being used by today’s activists? How? Do you see any connection with today’s activist graphic design? Make sure you cite your information! A failure to cite is plagiarism.

Each entry and accompanying image(s) will be written and inserted directly into the journal interface. DO NOT attach a Word or PDF document. This assignment has a rubrics — please read it before you start your first journal entry so that you know exactly what is expected.

REFLECTION POST AND FINAL BIBLIOGRAPHY

In a journal entry of 300-500 words, reflect on what this project taught you. Did you learn what you expected to learn? What surprised you? How has it changed the way you think about today’s political activism and the graphic design associated with it? Add anything you want to this post. This a chance for you to really think about this project. At the end of your reflection, please add a final bibliography (it does not need to be annotated) written in correct and current MLA or Chicago Manual of Style format.

Write an essay in which you analyze how the author uses literary elements to explore this issue and explain how the issue contributes to the meaning of the work as a whole.

Final Research Paper Prompt

Choose one of the following prompts for the focus of your paper. For this assignment, you will need to compare and contrast two works, each from a separate genre. This is to say you can use a story and a poem, a story and a play, or a play and a poem.

Since this is the final paper, it is substantially longer than the previous papers. So, consider your approach carefully to ensure that your argument is complex enough to carry for 2000 words.

You are free to write on works that you have previously written on provided that this final paper is a new approach rather than a new draft of a previous paper. Also, the whole textbook is free game to choose from; you are not limited to just the works that were assigned during the class.

As for literary works not in the textbook that you might want to use, email me first and I will take alternate stories, poems, and dramas under consideration.

Option #1: Many works of literature deal with political or social issues. Choose two works, each from a separate genre, that focus on a political or social issue. Then write an essay in which you analyze how the author uses literary elements to explore this issue and explain how the issue contributes to the meaning of the work as a whole.

Assignment Details:

The paper needs to be in MLA document format.

The paper should be a minimum of 2000 words and utilize at least five outside sources in addition to the stories and the textbook.

The five sources must be of substantial academic quality rather than quick notes and other such sources.

All sources, the stories and the research sources, must be cited in MLA format in the text of the paper and on a Works Cited page.

The book used is Literature, a portable anthology, fourth edition by Gardner, Lawn, Ridl, and Schakel
