Is there a Return Air ducting system? How does this air get back to the AHU where it came from?

SRT 757  Assignment 3  HVAC  Schematics

One of the purposes of Assignment 3 is the aspect of correction and refinement to what has been previously submitted in Assignment 1 & 2.   It is expected that forming into the groups of 4 members might engage in the discussion of what is correct, useful to show and makes the requested information complete.  You are then deciding to display this information on your final boards.

In regards to the HVAC portion of the project, there have been several concepts missing from the information that should be related to the observer (us grading).

Has it been made clear that:

  • There is a Centralised HVAC System on the Roof / Basement?
  • If so, are all the components shown for this system?
  • What vertical shafts are shown that indicate: a Supply Air to the Levels in the building?
  • Is there a Return Air ducting system? How does this air get back to the AHU where it came from?  Is Fresh Outside Air entering the AHU?
  • How is air exhausted in your concept? Have you indicated and located fans?
  • Is there ductwork area indicated on a Floor Plan? Is there ductwork indicated in a vertical shaft(s) on a Section?
  • What indication – if a Fan Coil system is selected – is there of it receiving a conditioned water supply? From where ? and how?  Is it this water returned?
  • How do the Fan Coil Units receive Outside Air?
  • Are toilets, car parks, basements indicating an exhaust system?

Many of the above questions are an integral part of the lessons and diagrams provided in the

HVAC  Equipment  Sizing, Selection & Location

document prepared for this course.  If you study this document there should be several answers to the above questions provided.  Hopefully this will provide insight and a review of the prepared work to be submitted.

Question Two

First, what are geographical indicators as defined under the TRIPS rules? What are the benefits and disadvantages of this type of intellectual property?

Second, do some research and give me 3 examples of products which benefit from geographical indicators. What characteristics of the products are mirrored in their geographical names? Of the 3 products you choose how do the protected names enhance the marketability of the products?

Example

Please include relevant citations in your answer.

A sample answer for this part is:

Champagne is a sparkling wine produced in the Champagne region of France. Commonly, champagne is a generic term for sparkling wine. For example, beside Champagne, Prosecco is another sparkling wine coming from Northern Italy and is recognized and protected as a geographical indicator by the EU.

An example of the value of this geographical indicator is shown in the Australia/EU free trade negotiations. The EU asked Australia to recognize Prosecco for geographic indication from Northern Italy. Such an agreement would prohibit the naming of Australia’s locally produced wine commonly called Prosecco. This would impact the Australian wine industry. As such the two sides have failed to reach an agreement base on the dispute on this issue.

Where the champagne geographical indicator is recognized – such as in the EU and other countries – it is illegal to label any product Champagne unless it comes from the Champagne region of France. One benefit of this GI is these products receive quality standards. All products labeled as Champagne must meet standards such as the different types of grapes grown, how they are produced and the required labeling. These standards benefit the Champagne name and marketability.

Critically analyse the economic impact of ‘Brexit’ (Britain’s exit from the EU).

Critically analyse the economic impact of ‘Brexit’ (Britain’s exit from the EU). Brexit means that the UK will be breaking away from its main trading partner; The European Union and will therefore no longer benefit from the free trade deals within this trading bloc. Although this is causing much uncertainty and disruption, there could potentially be the opportunity for the UK to negotiate new or revised economic partnership agreements (EPA) or trade deals with those outside of the EU. Using the UK and one non-EU member state from the list below, discuss the economic implications of Brexit for these two countries, including: trade relations, FDI inflows and outflows, as well as each country’s economic growth forecasts, to assess the economic activity for these two countries as a result of Brexit.

Please, SELECT ONLY ONE of these non-EU member states listed below to discuss alongside the UK to use as discussion for in your essay. All of the countries below have signed trade deals with the UK, which will come into effect after Brexit. PLEASE CHOOSE ONLY ONE OPTION OUT OF THE FOUR TO USE AS TOPIC DISCUSSION FOR MY ESSAY. I PROVIDED THE FOUR SO THAT MY WRITER CAN FREELY PICK THE MOST SUITABLE OPTION FOR GREAT ANAYLYSIS.

• Morocco (signed trade deal with UK on 26th October 2019). In 2018, total trade between the UK and Morocco was worth £2.5
• Central America (signed trade deal with UK on 18th July 2019). Total trade between the UK and Central America was worth £1.1bn in 2018
• Norway and Iceland (signed trade deal with UK on 2nd April 2019) According to the ONS, total trade between the UK and Norway and Iceland was worth £30.6bn in 2018
• South African Customs Union and Mozambique (signed 9th October 2019) Trade between the UK and Southern African Nations was worth £10.2bn in 2018
