Explain cash-flow issues relevant to reimbursement of providers.

Imagine that you are the Revenue Cycle Manager and Independence Hospital. You are asked to provide an analysis of the current reimbursement processes and their effect on financial management decisions.

You are asked to perform an analysis of cash flow based on a key element of the revenue cycle- claims processing. Cash flow is the cycle of receiving and disbursing cash payments. When there is positive cash flow, there is more cash received than disbursed. This is important to healthcare providers because cash results from clean claims. The chief financial officer (CFO) has discovered that there may be some cash flow and reimbursement issues, based on claims submissions. Your next task is to compile a report to the CFO, to examine cash-flow issues relevant to reimbursement of providers; and to outline potential reimbursement issues.

In a 2- page report, assess types of cash flow and reimbursement issues:

Cash Flow Issues

Explain cash-flow issues relevant to reimbursement of providers.
Compare the risks to payer and provider of each reimbursement methodology.
Examine the concept of positive cash flow in relation to claims processing.
Reimbursement issues

Explain timely payment, with examples.
Describe recoupment, with examples.
Examine the concept of difficult economics in relation to a healthcare provider

Construct a plan for communicating the implementation plan to employees.

OVERVIEW
A system security plan describes the details of how the security program protects the system. Each component of the security program and how it is implemented is addressed in the system security plan (SSP). You will create a professional cybersecurity deliverable that you are proud of and can potentially use or share with a current or future employer, demonstrating skills learned.
This two-part final project has real-world applicability. First, you will develop a system security plan to demonstrate knowledge of the different factors and topics that need to be addressed in order to successfully establish and implement a comprehensive system security plan within an organization. Then, you will present your system security plan to a management “audience”
INSTRUCTIONS

Provide a comprehensive and detailed manual documenting the step-by-step process for building a computer

You will provide a comprehensive and detailed manual documenting the step-by-step process for building a computer using the components provided in LabSim 14.1 and for the Video Card only, use information in LabSim 3.12: “Build a Computer from Scratch.” The manual will be used by entry-level technicians, so it should be clear, concise, and formatted using IEEE citation style, with screenshots of each step from LabSim 14.1 and for Video Cards only, use LabSim 3.12. Your manual should be similar to step-by-step instructions on How to Change the Oil in Your Car. Note carefully how in this example, not only is each step described individually, and in detail, but also there is a visual representation of each step. You should model your submission along the same lines. Keep in mind that your manual will be used as a guide  for new technicians.

The manual should not document how to complete a LabSim section; rather, it should provide detailed instructions on how to build an actual computer for a potential customer:

“Drag the motherboard from the shelf to the motherboard plate in the system case.”

“After properly grounding yourself, pick up the motherboard and place it inside the area where the motherboard will sit in the case. Align the screw holes on the motherboard with the screw holes on the case. Use appropriate screws to mount the motherboard inside the case, making sure not to scratch the surface of the motherboard.”

PC Build & Manual Part 1:

  1. Workspace Preparation (LabSim 2.0)
    2. Installing Motherboard (LabSim 3.3)
    3. Installing Power Supply (LabSim 3.2)
    4. Installing CPU (LabSim 3.5)
    5. Installing RAM (LabSim 3.7/3.8)

Discuss how the documentation framework in the case is different from the EA3 cube framework in the textbook (Topic 1).

Written Report
In this assignment you will find a case related to Enterprise Architecture (EA), introduce the case, and discuss how the documentation framework in the case is different from the EA3 cube framework in the textbook (Topic 1).
Your report could follow the structure below:
Introduction – provide the background and purpose(s) of this report
Case Description – briefly introduce the case (Need to describe the case with a real use case of a company)
Architecture in the case – Discuss the EA framework in the case (e.g., different levels, EA components)
Comparison – Discuss how the EA framework in the case is different from the EA3 cube framework in the textbook (table can be used)
Conclusion – State the benefits of the EA framework implemented in the case; Discuss if the EA framework in the case is more appropriate in the context of the case than the EA3 cube framework (if so, why; if not, why not). It is possible that the EA framework in the case is quite similar to the EA3 cube framework. You could argue that it is just an adapted version of the EA3 cube framework. (Explain why the selected company in the case uses the particular EA instead of EA3 cube framework)
Some guidelines / hints:
1) You may not strictly follow the structure, but you need to cover all of the content required.
2) The report should focus on the documentation framework of the case. In other words, you do not need to mention its implementation methodology.
3) You are encouraged to find cases online. If you can find a good one, there are two cases posted LMS which you can use. One is the Chubb case from Topic 4; the other is the Cisco case from Topic 10.
4) The article “Essential Layers, Artifacts, and Dependencies of Enterprise Architecture” from Topic 05 can be helpful for you to learn how to compare different EA frameworks.
Refer to the attached document for the full question details and slides for the relevant reference.
