Plagiarism

Have you ever written a paper and copied ideas without giving credit to the original writer? Watch the video and reflect on the importance of understanding what plagiarism is. Feel free to provide suggestions to avoid plagiarism. Read and reply to at least two of your peers’ posts. To reinforce the use of MLA and APA, you will do the following: Using the FNU database and watching the video, compose a paper (two paragraphs) defining plagiarism and ways to avoid it. You will use either APA 7th edition or MLA 9th edition to write your paper.

If you use APA, you must have the title page, body, and references. If you write your paper using MLA, remember that it does not have a title page and in instead of references you will have the work or works cited. Using any of the two styles, you must use Times New Roman 12. You must upload your answer to the discussion question in a word document. Please, use all the information provided in week # 3 to complete the discussion question. Avoiding Plagiarism

In your own words, explain to your classmate what is required for a trail or circuit to be a Euler trail or circuit. Does a Euler trail exist for their graph? Explain specifically using the label and degree of each vertex.

Post 2: Reply to a Classmate

Review a classmate’s post and consider their real-world context. Address all of the following items. For all references used, please cite them in APA format. No explanations may be taken directly word for word from another source.

Post 3: Reply to Another Classmate

Review a different classmate’s post and consider their real-world context. Address all of the following items. For all references used, please cite them in APA format. No explanations may be taken directly word for word from another source.

  1. In your own words, explain to your classmate what is required for a walk to be a Hamiltonian path or cycle.
  2. Identify one sequence of vertices that makes either a Hamiltonian path or a Hamiltonian cycle.
  3. Based on the context of your classmate’s situation modeled by the graph, think about whether it would be most practical to seek a Euler trail or circuit versus a Hamiltonian path or cycle. Which one do you think would be more useful in your classmate’s situation and why?

Identify at least two themes or topics throughout the optional text that are somehow related to an accident of your choice. Explain how those topics/themes were associated with the accident, citing both the author of the optional text as well as the source of accident information.

Post-accident information

This semester, students will be required to write a 7 page APA paper (5 pages of content, 1 title page and 1 reference page). The paper will ask you to correlate themes and/or topics covered in your text reading with one specific aviation accident described in Chapter 1 of the textbook. Thus, completing this paper will require you to study one accident in depth. Below are your goals for your paper:

The associated accident must be related to an air carrier (Part 121, 125, or 135). Explain how those topics/themes were associated with the accident, citing both the author of the optional text as well as the source of accident information (such as FAA or NTSB).

Describe your dilemma. Provide the necessary contextual details so that people who don’t know you can understand.

Memory of resolving a dilemma

What is your first memory of resolving a dilemma specifically from the perspective of right versus wrong?

This memory might be from your early childhood or even your teens. It might be something simple, such as whether to squash a bug, or something complex, such as whether to lie to cover up a colleague’s misdeed. What was your dilemma, and what was your solution? What influences in your life led you to that decision? Looking back on it now with perfect hindsight, would you change anything?

Compose a response of approximately 500 words. Organize your response in the following manner.

  • First, describe your dilemma. Provide the necessary contextual details so that people who don’t know you can understand. Use the reporter’s questions of when, where, who, what, and how to set the scene.
  • Explain the solution—how did you resolve the conflict?
  • Reflect on one or more influences evident in your solution. In other words, why did you make this choice?

This is an exploratory paper and it should have a beginning, middle, and end created by your storytelling. Make this uniquely your story—give your reader a clear, detailed picture of your dilemma; a simple explanation of your solution; and a description of the influences that informed you.

  3. Emphasis & Subordination
  4. Directional Forces
  5. Repetition & Rhythm
