Take the narrower topic and do internet research to get a feel for current events and discussion in this area. Find some happenings and expert voices on a different side of the issue.

Seeing All Sides

1) Select one of your three topics.
2) If your topic is broad, work toward narrowing it down. For example, “I support animal rights” is broad; “I’m against scientific experimentation on animals” or “All animal shelters should be no-kill shelters” is narrower.
3) Take the narrower topic and do internet research to get a feel for current events and discussion in this area.
4) Find some happenings and expert voices on a different side of the issue.
(Remember to use News Guard to help you find responsible sources!)
For example, I see that experiments on animals helped lead to the speedy development of Covid vaccines; this is part of a pro-animal-testing article.
5) Develop a list of at least three “paths into” your topic.
Document why you’ve chosen these ideas.
Using the animal example, the “paths in” could be:
– Interview with Expert X, who is a strong voice because of her work doing Y
– Recent scientific breakthroughs A, B, C that used animal experimentation
– Ways that animal testing has become more sensitive in recent years

Describe the interconnection between anthropology portrayed in your course materials today. Use examples and think about how technology has implications for our subjects as anthropologists as well as the methods we use.

Digital Anthropology and Technology

For today’s assignment I would like you to consider the intersection of advanced technology and anthropology. Please watch the following TED Talk, We Are All Cyborgs Now (link here), and make sure that you have read the essay on digital anthropology and the lecture notes.

Answer the following questions in your assignment:

1). Describe the interconnection between anthropology portrayed in your course materials today. Use examples and think about how technology has implications for our subjects as anthropologists as well as the methods we use.

2). Why does the speaker suggest that we are all cyborgs?

3). What is digital ethnography and how do anthropologists do research in virtual worlds?

4). How might advanced technologies such as social robots help us answer the question “what does it mean to be human?”

Write a list of immunotherapy agents by cancer type with listed studies, summarized results and mentioned any inclusion criteria including markers of response that respresented inclusion criteria.

Immunotherapy response prediction in gynaecological cancers

Special focus should be put on markers of response to immunotherapy such as MMR expression, MSI status, PD1/PDL1 expression, tumor mutational burden. Additionally, studies that explored other, novel, emerging markers of response should be thoroughly included with clear description of marker type (for example tissue based – IHC, PCR based, NGS based, microscopy based etc. and possible blood based), correlation with clininical and histopathological data and conventional biomarker status.
The article should discuss the problem of current conventional response to immunotherapy prediction markers and the need to find novel ones that may enable more patients to benefit from immunotherapy as well as filtering the ones that may not benefit from immunotherapy.Suggested tables in the manuscript:

1. list of immunotherapy agents by cancer type with listed studies, summarized results (e.g. ORR, number of patients) and mentioned any inclusion criteria including markers of response that respresented inclusion criteria (e.g. MMR status, MSI status etc.)
2. list of novel, emerging biomarkers studied with summary of marker type, correlation with clinical and histopathological data and conventional biomarkers.

Example of a pubmed search for studies:
(“Ovarian Neoplasms”[Mesh] OR “Endometrial Neoplasms”[Mesh] OR “Uterine Cervical Neoplasms”[Mesh] OR “Vulvar Neoplasms”[Mesh]) AND “Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors”[Mesh]

Cite in Chicago format.

The prompt is: Which of those three documents – the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, or the Bill of Rights – has most influenced America? Argue in favor of the Constitution. I ask that you please keep vocabulary and wording to a high school – moderate level. If you’re wondering what that would look like, just send me an example and I can let you know. Please be specific about everything and come up with a strong thesis statement. I have included the writing rubric down below in 2 pictures. Try to use a few footnotes per page and only in the body paragraphs.

Explain the importance of a media relationship to the court and the balance with that media.

Media Budget for the Court.

Kevin Whalling, Chief Counsel for the Whalling Law Group, PLLC has been approached by Luke Han, Chief Court Administrator for the local justice court system concerning the desire to obtain a more substantial media budget for the court.

The problem for Administrator Han is that the court’s budgeting is tied to approval by the County Board of Supervisors. One Board member, Leia Darth, is very stingy concerning budgeting for the courts. So, the issue will be to explain the importance of a media relationship to the court and the balance with that media.

It will be tough to convince Supervisor Darth to approve the budget increase for media.
