Describe how you think the department could increase the fire safety education and community prevention efforts, if possible, within the current budget allotment.

For this paper you are assigned Miami Beach Fire Dept. and will investigate their budget.

Part 1. Report on the overall budget of the fire department. Include the population covered, the size of the department, number of stations, etc. Give an overall view of the department’s budget.

Part 2. Specifically cover the fire prevention portion of the budget. Give a break down of the fire prevention budget and activities. Include the number of personnel, inspection efforts as well as fire safety education and community prevention efforts.

Part 3. Give your opinion on whether or not the fire prevention effort is sufficient for the community. Include your opinion as to whether or not the budget and the associated fire prevention and education efforts are adequate. Describe how you think the department could increase the fire safety education and community prevention efforts, if possible, within the current budget allotment.

Your paper should be a minimum of three pages and should be submitted in APA format. Use your textbook, the internet, professional journals as well as information you gain from personal interviews. You must use a minimum of three sources.

Analyze the experimental error cause and size of errors and their impact.

Dry lab report on (Preparation of Ethyl 4-aminobenzoate)

You should be able to work out a percentage yield for your virtual experiment using the data. You can then compare yield, MP/BP and IR to the expected results in literature.

Background on the molecule you have chosen to synthesize

Mechanism for the synthesis reaction – a diagram and your understanding of it.

Important theory behind the experiment

Should include the following

Method should cover both the synthesis of the molecule and purification of it from any impurities.

Comparison of method or part of method to at least one alternative

Demonstrate understanding of why each step is being carried out

Considerations of Health and safety issues (major points should be clear in the method but an appendix at the end of the report for all chemicals used in the experiment, this includes products and impurities).

Detail of the method you have chosen so that someone else could replicate the method

Results (20%)

Your report should include the following:

Percentage yield calculations using your set of dry data, see separate data sheet for your data set.

Analysis of IR results for your compound including identification of key peaks and possible impurities. This can be for the product and starting compounds.

Analysis of melting point/boiling point data

Discussion and Conclusion (30%)

Should include the following:

Compare results with what you expected to get

Analyze the experimental error cause and size of errors and their impact.

How they could be avoided?

What do the results mean? – link them back to the theory

How do they compare with others work? This should be referenced sources not other data in the results for students.

Link your results back to your objective in your introduction.

Discuss the strengths and limitations of your experiment

What parallels can you draw between the reception of survivors in such wide-ranging geographic contexts, if any?

Jewish life in post-war Europe and beyond

This week, for your post I’d like you to consider the Week 5 readings in their entirety and reflect on the experiences of surviving Jews once they managed to reach different countries– from Eastern Europe to the US, to Australia. As our readings demonstrate, and to put it too overly simply, the experiences were often very negative – and in many cases, Jewish immigrants faced extreme hardship and even continued physical violence, abuse, and antisemitism, particularly in Eastern Europe.

Were any of the revelations in the readings about the reception of survivors in different countries particularly surprising, new or noteworthy? What parallels can you draw between the reception of survivors in such wide-ranging geographic contexts, if any?

Finally, what kinds of possibilities did Jews have to respond to such treatment once they faced these experiences? What choices did they have?

Critically explore the strengths and weaknesses of posters as a health promotion tool.

HIV in Nyacheki Village Kenya.

– Raise awareness about HIV

– Educate people about seriousness through showing % deaths

– Help Change life styles through Health sex relationships

– Information about the youth as vulnerable group

– Encourage testing

– Signpost to contact

The information i sent you in word is the only one to go on the poster. We do not need logos from Kenya or WHO. Images communicate but you have put it in the background. The mosquito stands alone. It is not hidden in the background.

You have made the write up too big and it has lost its meaning. The position of writing has moved.  Do not do Italics. The writing at the bottom should be smaller than the top. Make it flow. Big writing start at the top and reduce as you down.

On the Critical analysis paper please ensure we have the following and ensure the poster is aligned.

Task

(a) Critically explore the strengths and weaknesses of posters as a health promotion tool.

(b) Critically analyze the style and contents of your poster:

You may wish to consider some of the following points (these are only ideas and you are free to discuss other issues):

Why did you go for shock tactics and choose to use attention grabbing images, alternatively, why did you utilize statistics on morbidity and mortality rates when promoting the prevention of an illness. You need to analyze the structure of your poster; why have you set it out in a certain way, how does this help to get the message across to the target audience? Could your health promotion poster be interpreted differently.

We have been revising the poster only. Now we are revising the Critical analysis for the poster.

It is part of the essay. Remember also in the essay we analysis how and why we chose the type of essay we have done. What criteria we used, how it fits into the Health promotion models. How we have considered where it will be displayed. Who it targets and what impact it is likely to have and how this is measured.

The poster is what the paper analyses. If there do not tarry then the paper you have done is wrong. Assignment was developed a poster then a critical analysis of the poster.

Would a case study remain the best approach to a search for any long-lasting consequences of that violent episode? Why or why not?

The Columbine school shootings were one of the first and most widely known attacks of violence in history. As a discrete event in time with a fairly clear beginning and end, it might be studied using the case study method. Would a case study remain the best approach to a search for any long-lasting consequences of that violent episode? Why or why not?

Which of these methods is most likely to bring about the desired results? Why?

Approaches to Qualitative research 2

Consider the following research question: Are business professors, education professors, or psychology professors more popular among doctoral learners at a 4-year university?

To answer the research question, you might observe throughout a semester the attendance rates for a key course in each of the groups; review end-of-course surveys and compare average instructor ratings among the groups; or compare the number of cards, letters, and gifts received by faculty members in each group at the end of a semester.

Which of these methods is most likely to bring about the desired results? Why? What does your consideration of these options tell you about operationalization?

Describe an instance where you were required to manage a specific event or project.

Management of an Event or a Project
Describe an instance where you were required to manage a specific event or project. This does not necessarily need to have been in a business setting or required you to have a manger title. For example, you might have managed a social event, a church event, et cetera.

What is required is that other people were involved and your management skills were used. If you do not have an example, share your experience with a manager who led an event or a project you were involved in as a team member.

Analyze Your Approach to Managing
Analyze your approach (or the approach you witnessed as a team member) to the situation that you shared in the section above.

Reference specific examples of your actions or your manager’s actions to illustrate and support your analysis. Consider actions in each of the following functions of management:

Explain in detail the pathogenesis on how Mr. Fallbrook’s gastroenteritis leads to sepsis and then ARF.

Explain in detail the pathogenesis on how Mr. Fall brook’s gastroenteritis leads to sepsis and then ARF.

Research the medication Enalapril. Explain its uses, dosage, and side effects.
