Describe the building construction to include occupancy type, use, hazards, and other considerations that the incident commander would utilize for decision-making in the establishment of strategy and tactics for this incident.

High-rise occupancy

Instructions
There are three parts to this project. First, you will create a simulation using the SimsUshare software using photographs of a high-rise occupancy from your community or jurisdiction. Once you have selected the building, create a working structure fire that has ventilated from the upper floors of both the A and B sides.

For part two, address the following items.
Using the COAL WAS WEALTH acronym, define the information-gathering process used by your department for this building.
Describe the building construction to include occupancy type, use, hazards, and other considerations that the incident commander would utilize for decision-making in the establishment of strategy and tactics for this incident.

Address fire spread concerns. Communicate an arrival report and an initial progress report.
Detail your department’s response to this structure including all of the provisions in your department’s standard operating procedures as well as resource availability and assignment.
Complete an incident command chart for the given incident based on your own department’s structure.
For part three of this project, you will refer back to the U.S. Fire Administration reading regarding the One Meridian Plaza Fire in Philadelphia, PA. How has your department addressed the conclusions and lessons learned from that fire to ensure the safety of the occupants and firefighters during the response and emergency operations of a high-rise fire in your jurisdiction?
Your paper must be a minimum of three written pages, not counting the title and reference pages or the photographs. You must use at least one source from the CSU Online Library to support your analysis and solutions. All sources used must have proper citations. Your paper, including all references, will be formatted in APA style.

random sample of N = 25 individuals is selected from a population with μ = 20, and a treatment is administered to each individual in the sample. After treatment, the sample mean is found to be X = 22.2 with SS = 384. Based on the sample data, does the treatment have a significant effect?

1. A random sample of N = 25 individuals is selected from a population with μ = 20, and a treatment is administered to each individual in the sample. After treatment, the sample mean is found to be X = 22.2 with SS = 384. Based on the sample data, does the treatment have a significant effect?

2. To evaluate the effect of a treatment, a sample is obtained from a population with a mean of μ = 30 and the treatment is administered to the individuals in the sample. After treatment, the sample mean is found to be M = 31.3 with a standard deviation of ˆσ = 3

  • (a) If the sample consists of N = 9 individuals, are the data sufficient to conclude that the treatment has a significant effect?
  • (b) If the sample consists of N = 49 individuals, are the data sufficient to conclude that the treatment has a significant effect?
  • (c) Comparing your answers for parts (a) and (b), how does the size of the sample influence the outcome of a hypothesis test?

3. Standardized measures seem to indicate that the average level of anxiety has increased gradually over the past 50 years (Twenge, 2000). In the 1950s, the average score on the Child Manifest Anxiety Scale was μ = 15.1. A sample of N = 16 of today’s children produces a mean score of X = 23.3 with SS = 240. Based on this sample, has there been a significant change in the average level of anxiety since the 1950s?

4. A sample of N = 9 individuals participates in a repeated measures study that produces a sample mean difference of X = 4.25 with SS = 128 for the difference scores. Is this mean difference large enough to be considered a significant increase?

When working with older clients, what might be some “red flags” that the older adult has this particular mental health concern? What should you be keeping an eye out for, in terms of diagnosis?

DEPRESSION

1. When working with older clients, what might be some “red flags” that the older adult has this particular mental health concern? What should you be keeping an eye out for, in terms of diagnosis?
2. Describe at least one evidence-based practice for treating this condition.

Briefly describe the time line of this outbreak and the ways in which it was investigated. Discuss why you think the incidence was low. Include the human and environmental factors that could have contributed.

Select the article/story and save it either as a pdf copy or as a video on your computer.
Read the report and reflect on how group work might help the children involved in the crisis.

The details should include the format of the group, the structure of the group, the goals of the group, and the diversity of the participants. (Things to consider, How would you utilize inclusive measures? Would the group be limited to an age or gender? Would you provide a video platform for those with disabilities or inabilities to participate in person? Would transportation be provided)
