Take the Barriers to Exercise quiz from the Harvard Health Letter [Harvard Medical School] by clicking on the attachment below — Harvard Health Letter: Barriers to Physical Activity Quiz. Once you have completed the quiz, you can get a better assessment of your preferences, habits, and possible areas for activity improvement. The quiz requires that you take your results for the first 3 “numbered” questions [X + X + XX] and sum them; THEN, take the next 3 questions and sum them — there are 7 areas identified in this quiz that affords you a brief ‘scoring’ of your responses and where you are relative to physical activity. Below this section are various suggestions for overcoming physical inactivity — similar to those presented in your textbook.

FROM THIS …. examine your personalized results and begin to develop a behavior contract related to increase your level of physical activity (see an example on pg 75, figure 4.4).

Attachments

After taking the quiz from Harvard Health Letter (from the above activity) and “scoring” your results from the quiz, examine your results and begin to develop a behavior contract related to increasing your level of physical activity (see an example on pg 75, figure 4.4).

Please submit a one-page summary of your own behavior contract to improve/increase your level of physical activity…identifying what your current level of behavioral engagement is for physical activity and ‘where’ you will begin to make changes and ‘contract’ with yourself to improve your exercise/physical activity.

Find the mean lifetime and decay constant for 57Co. If the activity of a 57Co radiation source is now 2.00 mCi, how many 57Co nuclei does the source contain? What will be the activity after one year?

Physics Question

1. The force constant for the internuclear force in a hydrogen molecule 1H22 is kʹ = 576 N/m. A hydrogen atom has mass 1.67 x 10-27 kg. Calculate the zero-point vibrational energy for H2 (that is, the vibrational energy the molecule has in the n = 0 ground vibrational level). How does this energy compare in magnitude with the H2 bond energy of -4.48 eV?

2. The isotope 57Co decays by electron capture to 57Fe with a half- life of 272 days. The 57Fe nucleus is produced in an excited state, and it almost instantaneously emits gamma rays that we can detect.

  • (a) Find the mean lifetime and decay constant for 57Co.
  • (b) If the activity of a 57Co radiation source is now 2.00 mCi, how many 57Co nuclei does the source contain?
  • (c) What will be the activity after one year?

Briefly discuss the process of conducting research to provide a systematic solution for an industry-related problem.

Assignment

Question 1:

Briefly discuss the process of conducting research to provide a systematic solution for an industry-related problem.

Questions 2:

Choose a destination or company related to tourism, hospitality, or the event industry as a unit of your analysis and as your social lab. Then, identify a real-life problem related to your unit analysis, analyze the identified real-life problem based on the secondary and/or primary data that you need to collect, infer your analysis of the problem under your inquiry, and provide a set of solutions for the problem.

Rationale-building for the assignment

You are required to establish and develop the content of your assignment in the following rationale to apply skills of:

  • Identifying an industry-related problem: This is very similar to the identification of a research topic of interest (ideation) and the problem related to the research topic (Problematizing). The scope of the research is framed and delimited (Focus and delimitation)
  • Analyzing the identified industry-related problem: Setting up the background to build the rationale behind the problem (background, situation analysis, and problem identification)
  • Inferencing the industry-related problem: Based on the relevant analysis, a complete inferencing of the analysis of the industry-related problem is made.
  • Finding a solution for the industry-related problem: A systematic set of solutions for the industry-related problem are provided

In the overall rationale-building assignment given above, you should showcase your ability and competence to demonstrate, through sequential steps that flow naturally, how you ultimately arrive at setting up the frame and focus of the study. Consider the following when building your more specific rationale:

  1. Define the background or context to the problem area- use the funnel approach where you set up the context as broadly as possible; begin with the field, then the sector, to then gradually shift the focus to a specific area through argumentation and evidence, where you will show the problem
  2. Use evidence, facts, and literature where necessary to support your rationale and reasoning in constructing the problem – tell us what type of reasoning you are using and why
  3. Clearly specify the problem through a problem statement
  4. Identify the unit of analysis, concepts, and variables that will deserve your attention when you are going to tackle the problem and provide the reasons why they are essential for the research you are undertaking
  5. Clearly demarcate the scope and frame of your research: which theoretical perspective you may use, what you will consider in your study, and what you will NOT include.
  6. State clearly why this problem is of significance (is it relevant-timing, why now, context; significant for theory, practice; interest for whom, which sector, which trade).

Write a 5-7 page research paper addressing an issue related to Communication and Christianity.

Writing Question

Students will write a 5-7 page research paper addressing an issue related to Communication and Christianity. This essay will take a phenomenon related to modern Christian discourse and analyze it using communication theory. Students have wide latitude when it comes to what topics they select, but a list of example topics is available below.

Requirements:
Students should cite at least five (5) sources in this paper.
The paper and citations should be in APA style.
The paper will be graded based on strength of analysis, grammar and style.
The text of the essay should be in Times New Roman, 12 point font, double-spaced, with one inch margins.

General guidelines:
Students are free to arrange the paper however they chose, but all papers should achieve three main tasks. First, what is the issue the students selected? This issue should be explained in thorough detail. All persons, ideas, and arguments presented in the essay should be treated thoughtfully and carefully. Second, how can communication theory shape the way we view this issue? Finally, what broader implications can we draw from this issue to shape the way we communicate about religion on other issues.
Although the essay requires a minimum of five sources, students should substantiate all of their claims throughout the essay. Every argument made in the essay should be well-supported. Poorly devised or unsubstantiated arguments will affect the assessment of the essay even if the  minimum number of sources have been cited.

Possible topics:
Students are free to discuss whichever topic they would like, but below is a list of issues that can help students select a topic.

This list is far from exhaustive.

  • “Thoughts and prayers” Professions of faith by athletes

Why do monsters pose a threat to individual and cultural identity as presented in the stories that we read? What are the monster’s social and political implications in literature?

Essay Three Topic – Monsters in Literature

According to Asa Simon Mittman, “monsters do a great deal of cultural work, but they do not do it nicely. They not only challenge and question; they trouble, they worry, they haunt. They break and tear and rend cultures, all the while constructing them and propping them up. They swallow up our cultural mores and expectations, and then, becoming what they eat, they reflect back to us our own faces, made disgusting or, perhaps, revealed to always have been so.”

For your third writing assignment; write an essay (1000+ words) in response to the following topic: Argue the concept that monsters embodied in literature give people a safe way to confront fears such as the threat of monsters in society and the existence of the monster within us.

Consider the following questions as you write:
1. Why do monsters pose a threat to individual and cultural identity as presented in the stories that we read?
2. What are the monster’s social and political implications in literature?
3. Why are the encounters with monsters in literature horrifying?
4. How and why does the human monster develop?
5. What are the monster’s characteristics and how do they exemplify society?
