Slick Systems, referred to as “SLIC,” has hired you as an IT consultant for their Windows network services infrastructure. SLIC is a new advertising firm. They have hired staff, are established in two locations, and have a need to get their internal IT services configured. They have an IT staff, but they do not have the in-house expertise to address their current infrastructure needs.

You are required to supply SLIC with a solution which addresses the integration and configuration of their Active Directory updates.  Cost is not a significant concern – SLIC wishes to implement the “right” solution to address their acquisition of a new company and its Active Directory forest which is comprised of a single domain.  More specifically, SLIC is based out of Chicago, IL and they have a Windows Server 2016 domain that is operating at the Windows Server 2016 functional level.  They recently acquired New Age Cinema Group which is based out of Baltimore, MD, which has a domain running Windows Server 2012 domain controllers.

There are several details about SLIC which will have an impact on your proposal:

  • SLIC has a total of 220 employees in their Chicago and Baltimore sites. Each department will have individuals at each site.
    • Executives (18 total with 10 in Chicago, 8 in Baltimore) – manage and run the company
    • Customer Sales Department (60 employees with 30 in Chicago and 30 in Baltimore) – perform market research and maintain accounts
    • Public Relations (PR) Department (98 employees in Chicago) – advertising
    • Human Resources and Finances (24 employees in Chicago) – perform HR and financial duties
    • IT (20 employees with 10 in Chicago and 10 in Baltimore) – manage IT for the company
  • Networking equipment is already in place for both sites, which are separate Active Directory Domains.
  • Security mechanisms (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection) will be handled separately, and there is no need to describe them.
  • Some departments will want their data to remain private from other departments (e.g., Finances personnel will not want Production staff to see the company’s financial details). You may make assumptions about how data should be shared or kept private.

The assignment is to complete a Power Point presentation demonstrating how the science of Psychology relates to your chosen career. This presentation will not be given in class. You will create your presentation using Power Point or similar slideshow software. This presentation must contain 3 sections: 1) Your Field, 2) Psychological Concepts, & 3) Thinking Critically.

What you will turn in;

You will turn in a presentation that describes your chosen field, describes various psychological concepts, and analyzes how those concepts are involved in your field.

You are to then research the psychological concepts found within your 3 chosen chapters and describe some of them in your presentation (minimum 1 concept per chapter). What do these concepts discuss? Who were the important figures related to these concepts? What are the important experiments related to these concepts? Be sure to be specific in your presentation. Ex. If discussing the Learning chapter, I might select Observational Learning as a topic; I would make sure to discuss what modeling is and Albert Bandura’s Bobo Doll Clown Study.

Requirements: Minimum 2 Academic sources; one may be your book, one must be a peer-reviewed journal article from Galileo.

Provide a critical analysis of these concepts and how they relate to your field. Cite specific activities that you might do on the job, aspects of your career, and specific pathways you will take in your career. Then discuss how the concepts discussed in part 2 relate to the aforementioned subjects. For every psychological concept discussed in part 2, there should be at least one slide discussing how it relates to your field. For example, if you want to write about camera development, take a more focused part of that broader topic such as the steady cam and use that as your subject. You do not need to get too technical in your paper. Some broader topics include: Camera Development, Projection and Viewing in Theaters, Film, Special Effects, Director Training, Actor Training, and Editing.

Shania Jackson is a mature Christian thinking of opening a Christian coffeehouse near Denver, Colorado. Her husband, Marvin, is open to making a contribution of capital to the business, but he has no interest in participating in its operation or management.

Shania’s sister, Kelsey, is a new Christian who has told Shania that she’s been looking for an excuse to get out of the house and would love to be a part of the business.
