You are the chief operating officer (COO) of Training World, Inc., an international workplace training organization, located at 9476 Henderson Highway in Charlotte, North Carolina 28213.  With over 200 full-time and part-time employees, your company handles training and development in in the health care field.

You have spoken with Ms. Jocelyn Hightower, director of Human Resources at Central Dallas Medical Center (CDMC) at 14763 Main Street in Dallas, Texas 75208, about a three-day training program for all employees at that medical facility.

The goal of this assignment is to have you think about the application of a sociological perspective to a contemporary phenomenon: the protests against policing in Canada and the United States. After completing the assigned readings listed above, you need to take a look at the links provided that show (or seem to show, depending on your view) two very different public responses by the democratically (more or less) elected representatives of the federal governments of Canada and the United States. The contrast at least seems to be as clear as possible: on the one hand, the Canadian Prime Minister joined in with demonstrators protesting racist police brutality and kneels for nearly nine minutes in a gesture of solidarity, and on the other hand, the U.S. President orders soldiers to tear gas protesters and stands in front of a church holding a bible.

Task 5 – Financial Statement Analysis Provide a complete pro-forma analysis with the last three years– Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows including OCF, NWC, taxes, etc. Provide one year of forward projections for your company using analysts’ estimates The pro-forma analysis should be well organized, complete, and readable so that an executive could quickly scan to view your assumptions as well as historical performance. Hint: Historical financial statements can be pulled in a matter of seconds on Factset. Analysts’ forecasts can also be found on FactSet.
Task 6 – Debt Valuation Provide a summary of all long-term debt instruments outstanding including the number of total debt instruments, the sum of total debt outstanding, average yields, maturity dates, and the credit rating, YTW, and maturity date. Calculate by hand the YTM of one of the debt instruments outstanding. Does the YTM match what is given on Factset? Briefly discuss whether you think this company has an appropriate amount of debt, comparing their debt levels to close competitors and/or historical levels
