Who was Ernesto Miranda and why is his name linked to virtually every police interview or interrogation?

Once you’ve read Chapters 5 & 6, search the Web for information on Miranda v. Arizona. In at least 2 pages, please answer and include the following questions and information:

  • Who was Ernesto Miranda and why is his name linked to virtually every police interview or interrogation?
  • Research Ernesto Miranda’s personal history, including his family, criminal activity and ultimate fate.
  • Research the case itself.
  • What was the precise argument that led to the court’s decision?
  • Research and discuss challenges to the Miranda ruling.

There are some who say that the Miranda ruling has outlived its usefulness and should be replaced, along with the exclusionary rule. In addition, some argue that the Miranda ruling as well as the exclusionary rule should be tougher, not more lenient. Take a stand in this paper and explain the validity of your argument on whether the Miranda rule should be replaced, remain, or be tougher.

Produce a revised balanced scorecard for the entire entity (IT Consolidated) and one other entity; you can choose China or London.

REQUIRED:
1) Examine the current Balanced Scorecard. What is good about it? What needs improvement? Write a one paragraph memo to Chris with your thoughts.
2) Produce a revised balanced scorecard for the entire entity (IT Consolidated) and one other entity; you can choose China or London. Each quadrant should have 3 measurements. Explain why you chose each measurement. You will not necessarily have the numbers for each key performance indicator; that information would need to come from the company.
• Include at least two measurements that reflect the challenges of Covid this year;
• Include at least one measurement specific the specific geographic area or culture;
WORKBOOK SET UP:
3) Set up an excel workbook with 3 tabs
(1) Comments to Chris regarding existing Balanced Scorecard (requirement 1)
(2) Revised scorecard – New York (total entity). Include a short reason for each measure below the scorecard.
(3) Same as (2) for your choice of China or London

What are the state and federal policies, how will organizational policy be implemented, and who is the target population.

Using what we have covered in class, assume the role of an executive director of a service in our healthcare delivery system (OT, PT, Behavioral Health, Mental Health, and Acute Care Settings are all appropriate starting points). You are now tasked with creating a strategic vision for a telehealth service (Identification of the target population, review of relevant state and federal policy, and establishment of goals for the program). Your final product should be a narrative piece of original work between 8 and 10 pages. External citations should be included (more than 4). The narrative may include lists, figures, or diagrams, but the work needs to be clear and concise. You should create a fictional practice with the following goals and objectives to focus your assessment on:
Alignment and Engagement – Who are the stakeholders, where will funding come from, and what are the goals or overall strategy?
Enabling Technologies – Select a vendor, app, or platform to assist your patient population. You should identify a minimum of 3 competitive technologies.
Care Across the Continuum – What are the state and federal policies, how will organizational policy be implemented, and who is the target population.
Interoperability – How can information captured be shared with others? Will information take the form of a reporting dashboard, alerts to providers, or structured follow up by other care teams.

Should lawmakers implement laws to force individuals with these types of conditions into programs to address potential issues?

Chapter 3 looked at psychosocial and biosocial theories for criminal behavior. Several biological issues such as a low resting heart rate and low serotonin levels have been associated with deviant behavior. Should lawmakers implement laws to force individuals with these types of conditions into programs to address potential issues? Why or why not? Should something be done before deviant behavior occurs? What about after? Would your attitude change if the person was yourself?
2 or 3 sources are fine thank you

Provide a short written commentary, explanation or question as a response to each of the following five quotes from the article.

Assignment Two:

Read Kenneth Frampton’s article ‘Towards a Critical Regionalism: Six Points for an Architecture of Resistance’. Provide a short written commentary, explanation or question as a response to each of the following five quotes from the article. Responses should be no more than three (3) sentences.

  1. Today the practice of architecture seems to be increasingly polarized between, on the one hand, a so-called high-tech approach predicated exclusively upon production and, on the other, the provision of a “compensatory facade” to cover up the harsh realities of this universal system. (Frampton- pp. 18)
  2. The arts could save themselves from this leveling down only by demonstrating that the kind of experience they provided was valuable in its I own right and not to be obtained from any other kind of activity.’ (Frampton quoting Clement Greenberg- pp. 21)
  3. Architecture can only be sustained today as a critical practice if it assumes I an arriere-garde position, that is to say, one which distances itself equally from the Enlightenment myth of progress return and from a reactionary, unrealistic impulse to return to the architectonic forms of the preindustrial past.  (Frampton- pp. 22)
  4. “Western civilization habitually identifies itself with civilization as I such on the pontifical assumption that what is not like it is a deviation, less advanced, primitive, or, at best, exotically interesting at a safe distance. ” (Frampton quoting Aldo van Eyck- pp. 24)
  5. The bulldozing of an irregular topography into a flat site is clearly a technocratic gesture which aspires to a condition of absolute placelessness, whereas the terracing of the same site to receive the stepped form of a building is an engagement in the act of “cultivating” the site. (Frampton- pp. 29)
