Describe at least three ways in which you believe you have an understanding of their lives.

One caveat that was introduced in the beginning of the course was whether we would ever be able to have an understanding of people who live different lives. This is always a question, and is the source of many of the issues with diversity. How can I know who you are, as you know yourself?

In the context of this course, it is the question to answer in this, your final paper.

–Give two identities in two different eras ***The Renaissance (1400 CE – 1600 CE) and the Modern Era (1600 CE – 1800 CE) ***that you identified with. Provide some background on their lives.
–Describe at least three ways in which you believe you have an understanding of their lives. Perhaps these related to shared gender, shared level of opportunity, or other connections.
–Provide at least three ways in which you suspect that you are not able to understand their lives. You may have to use your imagination, but defend your answers empirically (with facts).
–Provide some conclusions about Western Civilization and Human Development that you have gleaned from this course. What is a useful course to you? In what way? What did you learn that will make a difference in your future?

answer everything that is required of this and please use the eras i included about

Analyse relevant and current research findings and scholarly work and use these to explore your research question.

Please see below for the revisions to this assignment in the light of the current context.

If you were planning to collect data but were unable to, or if you feel your data was compromised by the current context (for example you collected in a rush, or children were unsettled), you will extend your literature review and use current research and reading to address your question.   You will still complete a proposal and ethics form as if you were going into school

This means the order of your presentation will look slightly different:

  • An introduction a slide which explains your research question, why you chose it and what the current context is in terms of curriculum/policy/research.
  • A section about your project two or three slides which describes the school context, explains your research design, what data you would have  collected, how you were going to collected it, how you planned to address ethical issues and why you chose to approach your research in the way you did.  You will need to refer to academic reading about ethics and methodology in this section.
  • Literature-based discussion 5 or 6 slides – In this section you will analyse relevant and current research findings and scholarly work and use these to explore your research question. You will not be expected to reach any definitive conclusions but you should demonstrate engagement with ideas, issues and themes that you were anticipating might have been highlighted by your data. You will show that you understand how the question you are asking fits within the research context – this might include a section which highlights the significance of the research you were planning to undertake.

You will provide a statement about the literature you chose to look at and why for example:

  • “ I have reviewed the literature from the UK in relation to primary schools teaching of guided reading since the introduction of the literacy hour in 1998 when guided reading became widespread in schools.  This literature includes looking at government policy,  independent, peer-reviewed, research by academics and educators and larger funded projects by charities and other bodies.”

Part of this might lead you to be able to provide a clear justification for the importance of the research you wanted to undertake – why it is important.

  • A conclusion – Here you will draw together the arguments you have seen in the literature and reiterate why/how your research would make a ‘contribution to knowledge’ in this area and you will consider what the implications are for your practice.

  • A slide for your references

If you know you will not be able to collect data in the planned timeframe, you should use the above revised guidance – but still complete a proposal and ethics form as if you were going into school.

Describe a systems-based solution that could have prevented this event.

do Q1 for me which is (Scenarios/Questions 1. In acute care, a charge nurse is assigned to oversee a unit, and a nursing supervisor oversees the nursing role across a facility. All work together to control the flow of patients in and out of the unit and facility, make staffing assignments, and assist with problems and crises. Consider this situation: A nurse is dealing with a crisis for one patient and misses a second patient crisis—a young woman who died from a postoperative hemorrhage. In this tragic situation, competing crisis events on the unit prevented a nurse from adequately monitoring other assigned patients on the unit. The charge nurse and nursing supervisor stated in the Board of Nursing’s investigation of the event that they depended on the individual nurse to alert them if help was needed.

Question: Describe a systems-based solution that could have prevented this event. (DO NOT state what the nurse should have done differently; you are to describe a systems-based solution, not a personal, professional one.)

ASSIGNMENT 1: Short answer responses
Answer the following two (2) short answer questions (500 words each +/- 10%; 1,000 words in total).
Question 1 (500 words):
Outline the incidence AND prevalence of tuberculosis in Australia AND the country allocated to you (see below).
Briefly indicate why you think tuberculosis remains an issue in Australia.

Describe whether the proposed Secret Terrorism Trial Bill violate the Sixth Amendment right to confront the witnesses against you.

Prior to beginning your written assignment read the Criminal Procedure (Links to an external site.) article, Right to a Speedy and Public Trial – Public Trial (Links to an external site.) article, the Right to Confront Witness (Links to an external site.) article, Right to Counsel (Links to an external site.) article and review the Supreme Court Opinions synopses.
Read the following case scenario:
In the ongoing war on terrorism, the new president has proposed expanding the jurisdiction of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA). FISA is a U.S. federal court established and authorized under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 to oversee requests for surveillance warrants against foreign spies inside the United States by federal law. The new president’s proposed Secret Terrorism Trial Bill will expand the jurisdiction of the FISA to hold secret, non-public trials of accused terrorists for any planned or actual acts of terrorism on U.S. soil. The bill will also allow witnesses to testify before the FISA Court by remote video with their identities kept secret from the accused and any defense team. The stated purpose for the secrecy is to allow trials of terrorists without giving them a public platform for their radical ideology and to allow witnesses to testify without fear of reprisals from terrorist groups such as ISIS or Al-Qaeda.
Write a paper addressing the following:
Explain whether the proposed Secret Terrorism Trial Bill violates the Sixth Amendment right to a public trial,
Describe whether the proposed Secret Terrorism Trial Bill violate the Sixth Amendment right to confront the witnesses against you.
Explain whether the government’s overriding need to fight terrorism outweighs the Sixth Amendment rights of the accused.
Identify whether the Sixth Amendment applies to terrorists since the writers of the Constitution could not have envisioned mass shootings and suicide bombers.
