Construct a case study/research paper during the course of the semester. The primary purpose of the paper is to: Further understand the economic way of thinking and the accounting implications. Give you an incentive to think critically about course information. Apply economic principles and accounting principles to firms at microeconomic level in the U.S. Goal: Construct a case study/research paper that examines a firm in the U.S. from a microeconomic standpoint and provide suggestions based on your findings.

Choose a firm for your focus. In addition to picking a firm that you find interesting, you will likely want to pick a firm that has available data (or a firm that for which you can personally provide data). Publicly traded companies file reports with a great deal of data (mandatory).

Complete an analysis of the following categories for your firm. You should complete each section as we cover it in the course – although the paper is not due until July 8, 2020.

“Haverbrook investment limited, L.L.L.p. (HIG)” is an organization that mainly majors in the provision of financial services, and it possesses a total of 9.7 million dollars in revenue. The organization whose roots can be traced to Largo, Maryland, presently has approximately 350 subsidiaries all over the united states and provides jobs to over 8,738 and offers its services to nearly 8.5 million clients. To ensure that the company resources and the client’s information is secure the organization, senior manager Beth Haverbrook, employed “Centralia Security Lab (CSL)” to complete a penetration assessment into the company IT systems and determine the level of the company effectiveness in protecting the company information and client’s data.

Harriet Knox, Ralph Patton, and Marcia Diamond work for a family physician, Dr. Gwen Conrad, who is in private practice. Dr. Conrad is knowledgeable about office management practices and has segregated the cash receipt duties as follows. Knox opens the mail and prepares a triplicate list of money received. She sends one copy of the list to Patton, the cashier, who deposits the receipts daily in the bank. Diamond, the recordkeeper, receives a copy of the list and posts payments to patients’ accounts. About once a month the office clerks have an expensive lunch they pay for as follows. First, Patton endorses a patient’s check in Dr. Conrad’s name and cashes it at the bank. Knox then destroys the remittance advice accompanying the check. Finally, Diamond posts payment to the customer’s account as a miscellaneous credit. The aim of the exercise is to perform an analysis of air pollution by cadmium (Cd) and benzo(a)pyrene (B(a)P) contained in particulate matter (PM10), and PM10, for the following regions of Poland:
prov. małopolskie (Kraków),
prov. pomorskie (Gdańsk),
in the period from January 2015 to March 2020.
The results from cities areas should be compared with results from one outside the city area.
In addition, the exercise should include comparative analysis of air pollution with carbon monoxide for Kraków (Poland) and Edinburgh (United Kingdom) in time range 2015-2020.
Upon completion of this exercise student shall fluently navigate various public domain databases focused on monitoring of air pollution in different areas of the globe (especially Poland). Student also will be able to export data from mentioned databases in order to perform own statistical calculations and present results of the analysis in a transparent manner.

Be familiar with such definitions and issues as environmental monitoring, types of air pollution, limit value and target value of the substance in the air, and should be able to perform simple statistic calculations (arithmetic mean, standard deviation)
