Demonstrate your competency in the term paper by evaluating whether or not you believe a public company of your choice has a capital structure and financing strategy that is appropriate for its business model. The company you will be evaluating is “Tesla Inc” Stock Ticker

You will demonstrate your competency in the term paper by evaluating whether or not
you believe a public company of your choice has a capital structure and financing
strategy that is appropriate for its business model. The company you will be evaluating is “Tesla Inc” Stock Ticker: TSLA

1) The first criterion is financial analysis, including ratio analysis and risk analysis. Are you evaluating this company from a macro-economic or big-picture perspective in which you look at broad-based economic and industry trends in relation to how the company will capitalize on those trends OR are you examining the company from an operating / on-ground perspective and it’s individual business prospects and financial outlook (with less importance accorded to
macro-trends)? Is it a high risk, low risk or medium risk situation? For example, a company that focuses on growth and reinvests all its profits into the core business typifies a growing, risktaking enterprise. An example of a conservative operation is a company that generates surplus cash [pays a dividend if publicly traded] and is noted for stable, steady growth

2) The second criterion is qualitative research. For example, determine if there is a future for
the company’s core business. If the company is in the midst of either a corporate or financial
restructuring or launching a new product, what are the strategic objectives for such measures?
What is the management style of the company?

3) The third criterion is financial research. You’ll need to find any research about the industry
your company is in from analyst recommendations found in Value Line, Dun & Bradstreet, Morningstar, etc. If you are studying a private business entity, then analyst reports on publicly traded comparable firms may provide an applicable standard of comparison by which you are able to arrive at your appraisal of the capital structure and financing for the business model you are studying.

4) The executive summary should begin with the conclusion (i.e., your findings). Is it
adequately financed? Why or why not? [If publicly traded, then you must include published industry norms regarding capital structure and financing mix between debt versus equity.] The rest of the paper should fully explain the reasons for your evaluation. A table of contents may also be included if the report is lengthy or has multiple sections and subheadings.

5) Calculations and support documentation should be included in the appendix, but relevant
statistical support (i.e., bottom line figures such as rates of return, valuation, and so forth)
should also be included in the body of the text.
Statistical tables, graphs, and charts can either be incorporated into the body of the text
or referenced in your text and placed in an Appendix

What are the major reasons for plea bargaining? Explain.Do you believe that these are all valid reasons? Why or why not? Explain in detail. Is plea bargaining a fair concept to all concerned? Why or why not? Explain.

Plea bargaining is a common practice in every criminal court in the United States. One of the strangest concepts is that the prosecutor enters into an agreement with the defense counsel for the accused. In exchange for a guilty plea, the defendant will receive a fixed punishment that both parties agree on. However, judges often hand down sentences that go against the plea bargain if they disagree with the severity of the sentence (or in their opinion, lack thereof). Typically, the parties inform the judge of the plea bargain prior to the judge imposing the sentence.

Primary Task Response:

Create a business analysis for the client company’s leadership in which you analyze the competitive landscape for a business and discuss the role of IT/IS in helping that company achieve a competitive advantage.

You are an IT analyst at XYZ Corporation, and the company has recently taken on a new client that wishes to understand how the organization can leverage its IT and IS functions as a form of competitive advantage. The company is small and would like to see some real-world evidence of this in order to arm themselves with information as they seek investors to grow their business. You have been asked by your manager, Farah Ahmad, to create a business analysis for the client company’s leadership in which you analyze the competitive landscape for a business and discuss the role of IT/IS in helping that company achieve a competitive advantage.

First, you should select a company, research two of its competitors, and create a report to present to the client in which you analyze the business’s current competitive standing within its industry using at least two competitive analysis models/tools with a focus on the role IT plays in determining its current competitive posture; one of the models used in the analysis must be Porter’s Five Forces. It is recommended that you search the Internet to identify industries/companies for which a Porter’s Five Forces analysis have been completed prior to selecting the company on which you will focus your response. Part 2 of your business analysis should be 11–16 paragraphs in length and include at least five references from scholarly academic sources.

  • Illustrate the company’s use of information systems as part of its competitive business strategies. (150–225 words, or 2–3 paragraphs)
  • Analyze the company and its two competitors through the lens of Porter’s Five Forces. (225–300 words, or 3–4 paragraphs)
  • Analyze the company and its two competitors through the lens of one additional competitive analysis model or tool. (225–300 words, or 3–4 paragraphs)
  • Compare the three companies in light of your two completed analyses, including a discussion of which tool you feel was more useful in helping you to determine the competitive position for your selected company. (150–225 words, or 2–3 paragraphs)
  • Finally, present your analysis of the current competitive posture of your selected company. (75–150 words, or 1–2 paragraphs)

  1. Find a current event article in a REPUTABLE magazine or newspaper about abortion. Write a brief summary and discuss something that this article that relates to one of the readings or lectures from this unit. Include a link to the article.

  1. List your results from the poll at the beginning of the first video. Describe three answers that have changed over the course of the unit. Why do you think that happened?

. If nothing changed, describe why it did not change, how you came to these conclusions, what you found most convincing of the arguments, and how you would answer that argument.

  1. Thomson gives us several vivid thought experiments; name 3 of them. Pick one of them and discuss its purpose, the argument it advances, why it is plausible, and an objection.

  1. Marquis offers a new argument in the abortion debate that he cleverly calls FLO (future like ours). What is FLO? How does it resolve the prima facie problems of the anti and pro abortion debates? How does FLO relate to killing? What is one argument for why we should adopt FLO and one argument for why we should reject it?
