5 Critical Components that Teachers Need to Know
We need teacher to understand:
- The emotional development of children (one-directional) and teachers need to reflect on who they are (personal baggage, implicit baggage)
- Teachers need to understand children’s temperament and teachers need to reflect on their own temperament (their inner souls)
- Teachers need to understand the family histories (what’s going on in the family, and host families where they are)
- What’s going on in our environment? Great opportunities are in the environment – nurture a child’s soul so they feel emotionally safe.
What’s the 5th critical component that teachers need to know? I have listened to this part a few times and every time I miss it, or Steve Zwolak doesn’t exactly name it. But if it’s not in his talk, what do you think it is from this clip?
