Why should a company engage in international business? Using a minimum of five new peer reviewed journal articles, provide examples of companies who were successful in doing this.

International Business

Read Hout, Porter, & Rudden’s (1982) How Global Companies win out article and review the three examples of the companies that were successful in competing globally. Each of the companies had a different approach to executing global strategy. In today’s current global environment, why should a company engage in international business? Using a minimum of five new peer reviewed journal articles, provide examples of companies who were successful in doing this. Is their strategy similar to the Hout, Porter, & Rudden (1982) article? Explain.

Summative assessment: Competencies and Essentials of a Baccalaureate prepared-Nurse

Nurses use critical thinking skills to analyze data to make important decisions. Think about the competencies you selected to develop in Week 1. How would improving these professional competencies impact critical thinking and clinical decision-making?

Using the 2 competencies and the 2 essentials from the Week 1 worksheet, develop a 12- to 15-slide presentation with detailed speaker notes.

Note: If you are not familiar with creating Microsoft PowerPoint® presentations, review How to Make a Presentation under this week’s Learning Activities.

Include an overview of the QSEN Competencies and the AACN Baccalaureate Essentials. Do the following:

Explain how each competency and essential that you selected aligns with critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
Provide examples of how improvements in these areas will impact patient outcomes.
Explain how developing the competencies and essentials will impact/improve your work.

Include at least 2 scholarly resources from the University of Phoenix Library.

Discuss how the source compares with other sources in your paper and how useful is the source in attributing to your writing. discuss how the source is useful in your discussion. Specify on why it is important to use and exactly how you will use it in your writing to shape your arguments.

Annotated Bibliography: Economic Data

Submit your Annotated Bibliography Assignment on the topic that is being covered for the week: Marketing

Instructions

An annotated bibliography is a list of sources (books, journals, Web sites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic (Annotated Bibliographies, 2020).

For all sources used in your Discussion you should:

  • Provide an APA formatted Citation (this should look like what you would include in a normal reference section.
  • Summarize the source and discuss the research study that was conducted and what the findings were.
  • Assess the source and discuss how useful it is and how it compares with other sources in your paper.
  • Reflect on how the source will be useful to you in your discussion. How does it help to shape your argument and how are you using it to shape your writing?

Each annotation should look like:

Author (year). Title of article. Title of Journal, Vol no(issue). Pg to pg.

In your summary, you will begin with a discussion of the research question the study is attempting to answer. You will summarize the research that was conducted and the specific findings that were uncovered. You will then provide a summary of what this means for the topic.

Next, you will discuss how the source compares with other sources in your paper and how useful is the source in attributing to your writing.

Finally, you will discuss how the source is useful in your discussion. You will need to be specific on why it is important to use and exactly how you will use it in your writing to shape your arguments.

Section A

1. (a) Use Fermat’s Method to factorize 1147. [5]

(b) Euclid’s algorithm applied to two numbers a and b computed the quotients

q1 = 3, q2 = 3, q3 = 3, q4 = 3, q5 = 3 (in this order) and their greatest common divisor gcd(a, b) = 3.

Explain two points detailing why it is so important to be aware of culture when thinking about communication, utilizing Bevan. Explain how culture shapes verbal and nonverbal communication, utilizing Bevan.

Culture and communication

Assignment, you will explore the relationship between culture and communication. In her definition of culture, Bevan (2020) states it is the collective set of customs, values, beliefs, and norms of a group of people. In this paper, you will explore how culture creates customs of verbal and nonverbal communication and then explore two other themes covered in Bevan. Ultimately, you will discuss how paying attention to culture can help us improve as communicators.

In your paper,

Explain two points detailing why it is so important to be aware of culture when thinking about communication, utilizing Bevan.

Explain how culture shapes verbal and nonverbal communication, utilizing Bevan.

Describe the relationship between culture and two other themes that are central to culture from this list, utilizing Bevan:

Gender(Chapters 2 and 3)

High versus low context cultures (Chapter 3)

Dominant cultures versus co-cultures (Chapter 3)

Individualism and collectivism (Chapter 3)

Perceptual filters (Chapter 3)

NOTE: If you’d like to supplement your points by learning more about the roles of race or class in communication, use one or more of the videos in the “Resources” box in the upper right corner to assist you. This is not required, but can enrich your paper.

Explain how paying attention to culture can help a person improve as a communicator, utilizing Bevan and, if you choose, one of the supplemental videos you watched.
