Discuss any differences in health outcome statistics for the health problem between the two countries. Is there any evidence for why these differences or lack of differences occur?

Global Health Factors

Step 1: Identify a global health problem.
Choose ONE health problem that affects people around the world, and that is impacted by cultural practices. Find reliable statistics that support the global nature of this problem.

Step 2: Gather data.
Find scholarly sources, research and gather global data about the health problem you have identified. For example, the World Health Organization posts disease and health risk prevalence data on a country-by-country basis. Searching websites of humanitarian organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, Operation Smile, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation can provide additional context about the health problem.

Step 3: Create the slide presentation.
Address the following points in your 10 slide presentation:

Nursing perspectives of the problem

Describe the global impact of the health problem. Example topics could be comparing the impact across populations, communicable disease spread, environmental impacts

Describe the ways culture influences the risk factors, treatment and/or prognosis of the problem. Examples can be language barriers, food preparation, folk medicine usage etc. You may connect to one culture or multiple cultures in answering this prompt

Identify one or two cultural care strategies that nurses could use to improve the health problem

Health care system impact on the problem

Consider how the structure of a health care system affects the way the problem is addressed
Consider how the structure of a health care system affects the way the problem is addressed. Compare at least two countries with different health care systems- for example, you may discuss access to care, diagnostic and treatment options, public policies and economic considerations such as costs to the patient

Discuss any differences in health outcome statistics for the health problem between the two countries. Is there any evidence for why these differences or lack of differences occur?
Be sure to use statistics to substantiate the health problem. Make sure that you use APA format to properly cite any sources.

Step 4: Add presenter’s notes.
Include talking points and details in the notes area for each slide. These notes should document what you would say to an audience about each slide if you were to present in person.

Do you think our current education system is still encouraging first and second generation immigrant children to adopt the national civic culture, in other words assimilate? If yes, does this need to be changed? What do you think could be done differently? If not, is our current education system helping children understand and embrace their multiple identities?

There are two parts to this assignment: A question and an answer to the question below. There is further directions below as well and an example.

Below is the question you can answer:
Arvizo, Question

Assimilation refers to the process of an individual from a different culture adopting the culture in the new country to integrate into society. Though, this week’s learning materials have highlighted that assimilation for immigrants does not allow for full integration into society; rather, when “Asian and Latino immigrants assimilate, they also assimilate to the United States racial hierarchy…they assimilate by becoming people of color in a racially divided society” (Chomsky, 2007, p. 106). Furthermore, assimilation can cause conflict between cultures. For example, “some teachers used soap to wash the mouths of Mexican American students who spoke Spanish in schools in Southwestern states such as Arizona” (Banks, 2017, p. 372). Ultimately, teaching children to reject their native culture, making it impossible to meet the standards of embracing their native culture at home and rejecting their culture in school. Thus, schools are not helping first and second generation immigrant children understand their multiple identities, rather their focus is to teach children how to be successful in American society.

Do you think our current education system is still encouraging first and second generation immigrant children to adopt the national civic culture, in other words assimilate? If yes, does this need to be changed? What do you think could be done differently? If not, is our current education system helping children understand and embrace their multiple identities?

In McRaney chapter 3, the author outlines content essentials to understanding the gospel message. He also outlines what the “message” is NOT, and what “belief” is NOT – in a world that is constantly trying to water down and replace the gospel through pursuits like social justice and moral deism to name a few, discuss the essentials of the gospel message in detail. Is repentance essential? Is surrender essential? What does it mean to be born again? Why is the resurrection important, sacrificial atonement, etc. In short, what is the gospel, thoroughly define essential aspects .
In addition, after reading the assigned chapters in Everyday Series: Evangelism, as well as reading the article on “What Evangelism is Not” and watching the introduction video for this week that discusses several key perspectives related to evangelism, incorporate several insights from the material into your thread in reference to how this will impact your perspective on evangelism. Based on the material, thoroughly discuss how evangelism should be viewed and be honest about your misunderstandings. Were you surprised by some of the observations in reference to what evangelism is “not”? Are you guilty of excuses? What needs to change?

Identify and discuss, for each country, the customary benefits organizations provide their employees in those countries.

Final Research Project

Instructions: Final Research Project. Your organization is going to be expanding globally. Select two (2) countries of your choice. You will conduct research in which you

Identify and discuss, for each country, the customary benefits organizations provide their employees in those countries.

In your discussion, compare these countries with what organizations in the United States provide employees.

Topics to include in your comparison will include, but not limited to, health insurance benefits, wages, and paid time off.

When sharing and comparing the countries, make sure you include information as to why. For example, if the income tax rate is extremely high, organizations might tend to offer X benefit.

Next, you want identify what these countries might do better and what might US organization do better.

Finally, make a recommendation as to 1) which country your organization should consider entering and 2) what benefits and wage practices would you recommend and would these benefits be the same as to what you offer employees in the United States.

Keep in mind that what you provide in your paper must support your recommendations. For example, in France, if you take public transportation to and from work, the company must pay 50% of their monthly transportation pass. This is something that might work for your organization here in the United States, especially in larger cities that encourage using mass transit, but you need to make sure you explain why if you did not already share this in the body of your paper.

Prepare your research project this week as if you are preparing to present your findings to a HRM Benefits Counselor.

Briefly describe your healthcare organization, including its culture and readiness for change. Describe your plan for knowledge transfer of this change, including knowledge creation, dissemination, and organizational adoption and implementation.

Evidenced – Based Project, Part 4: Recommending an Evidence- Based Practice Change

The collection of evidence is an activity that occurs with an endgame in mind. For example, law enforcement professionals collect evidence to support a decision to change those accused of criminal activity. Similarly, evidence-based healthcare practitioners collect evidence to support decisions in pursuit of specific healthcare outcomes. In this assignment, you will identify an issue or opportunity for change within your organization and propose an idea for a change in practice supported by an EBP approach.

TO PREPARE:
(a) Reflect on the four peer-reviewed articles you critically appraised in module 4, i.e. your order #666772, related to your clinical topic of interest and PICOT.

(b) Reflect on your current healthcare organization and think about potential opportunities for evidenced-based change, using your topic of interest and PICOT as the basis for your reflection.

(c) Consider the best method of disseminating the results of your presentation to an audience.

THE ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS ARE: (EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE PROJECT)

PART 4: RECOMMENDING AN EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE CHANGE.
Create a 8- to 9-slide NARRATED PowerPoint presentation in which you do the following:

(1) Briefly describe your healthcare organization, including its culture and readiness for change. ( you may opt to keep various elements of this anonymous, such as your company name).

(2) Describe the current problem or opportunity for change. Include in this description the circumstances surrounding the need for change, the scope of the issue, the stakeholder involved, and the risk associated with change implementation in general.

(3)Propose an evidence-based idea for a change in practice using an EBP approach to decision making. Note that you may find further research needs to be conducted if sufficient evidence is not discovered.

(4) Describe your plan for knowledge transfer of this change, including knowledge creation, dissemination, and organizational adoption and implementation.

(5) Explain how you would disseminate the results of your project to an audience. Provide a rationale for why you selected this dissemination strategy.

(6) Describe the measurable outcomes you hope to achieve with the implementation of this evidence-based change.

(7) Be sure to provide APA citations of the supporting evidence-based peer-reviewed articles you selected to support your thinking.

(8) ADD a lessons learned section that include the following:
(a) A summary of the critical appraisal of the peer-reviewed articles you previously submitted i.e your order # 666772.
(b) An explanation about what you learned from completing the EVALUATION TABLE within the Critical Appraisal Tool Worksheet Template ( 1-3 Slides)
(c) The narrated presentation should have a clear and comprehensive purpose statement, introduction, and conclusion which delineates all required criteria.
(d) Use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation with no errors.
