First Steps on Becoming a Grassroots Lobbyist/Advocate for Health Care Policy
In a Microsoft Word document of 4-5 pages formatted in APA style, you will imagine you are going to make a visit to your representative in Congress. There are two parts to this assignment.
Address the following topics:
Develop a one-page document that supports your position on the AHCA that you would leave with your representative or his or her aide when you make your visit.
This one-pager, also called a “leave behind,” should state your position clearly in bullet points and give your reasons why your position is preferred.
This “leave behind” should have 1 inch margins and utilize 14-point font throughout.
If you were making this visit in person, you would present your “leave behind” to the person with whom you speak during your visit.
Include a second page that describes your rationale for the position in your “leave behind” page supported by at least two journal articles.

Critically evaluate evidence suggesting that attention and memory biases may increase vulnerability to obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Terms
Critically evaluate provide evidence taken from a wide range of sources which both agree with and contradict an argument. Conclude, basing your decision on what you judge to be the most important factors and justify how you have made your choice.

Guidance of the topic:

This topic links to the lecture ‘Cognitive biases in OCD and disgust’

First, introduce OCD stating its prevalence and diagnostic criteria-but be brief with these. Then introduce what are the risk factors for OCD and tell the reader why this essay will focus on attention and memory biases. In the main body, the Salkovski’s model of OCD needs to be discussed, and a very good essay will provide a critique of this model. Also, make sure you spend an equal amount of time on memory as well as attention biases. This essay is asking you to focus on attention and memory biases, but a very good essay should acknowledge that these are not the only biases seen in OCD.

Develop design prototypes for the login and main menu screens for both the consumer and provider mobile application THS. In addition, you will analyze the key data types that will be used by end users to populate these screens

In your paper, you will develop design prototypes for the login and main menu screens for both the consumer and provider mobile application THS. In addition, you will analyze the key data types that will be used by end users to populate these screens. You will also discuss the components of the overall IT architecture necessary to facilitate the deployment of mobile application technology for THS consumers and providers.

In your paper,

  • Develop three to four mobile application screens representing the login and main menu end user screens for consumers of THS.
  • Develop three to six mobile application screens representing the login, main menu, and patient results review end user screens for prescribing providers (doctors, nurse practitioners) of THS.
  • Articulate the content of each mobile application screen for both the consumer and prescribing providers in detail.
  • Critique the consumer mobile application screen designs according to the eight elements of an easy-to-learn-and-use interface (8.4.1) outlined in your text in Chapter 8. For each of the eight elements, state why your design meets the criteria.
  • Critique the provider mobile application screen designs according to the eight elements of use validation rules (8.4.8) outlined in your text in Chapter 8. Provide a minimum of four specific examples of how you will validate providers’ actions in the mobile design.
  • Summarize the top four priority items in the technology application testing plan that you will develop for the applications testing professional who is testing your mobile applications prototypes for the consumers and providers at THS.
  • Students should utilize either Microsoft PowerPoint or Microsoft Word (Shapes) functionality to generate the login and main menu end user screens. These screen pictures should be included in the body of the paper and referenced as figures.
  • Must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.

Must use at least two peer-reviewed articles sources.

Sean’s alarm didn’t go off this morning (or he forgot to set it), and now he is running late for his 8:00 psychology class. To make matters worse, the first exam in psychology is scheduled for this morning and he remembers that Dr. Woods had clearly stated at the beginning of the semester that no one would be admitted late to an exam.  Right now it’s 7:45 and Sean is still 10 miles from school on a two-lane country highway.  He realizes that if he still tries to make it to class on time, he will have to speed.  He will also have to pass slower cars on a narrow, winding highway with limited visibility and considerable traffic; he could be placing himself and others at risk.  If he decides not to speed, he will be late and will have to accept the consequences from Dr. Woods, which could include an “F” on the exam.  After thinking about the dilemma for a moment, he puts his foot on the gas in an attempt to make it by 8:00.

Assess the technical and nontechnical resources needed to launch a consumer and provider mobile application. What is the respective value of each of these applications to the business?

Reflect on the THS case study preview the document and the strategic reasons why the organization pursues a consumer and provider mobile health IT strategy. Assess the technical and nontechnical resources needed to launch a consumer and provider mobile application. What is the respective value of each of these applications to the business?

For this assessment, select a business (either the one you work for now, or one with which you are familiar), and determine what services are currently provided in-house which may benefit from migrating to a cloud service.

For this assessment, select a business (either the one you work for now, or one with which you are familiar), and determine what services are currently provided in-house which may benefit from migrating to a cloud service.

Examples may include data storage for collaboration and file sharing (Sharepoint), email, web services, server virtualization, etc.

Research potential benefits associated with the proposed cloud service, and determine a rough estimate of cost for budgetary purposes.

Write a brief 3 page IWG-formatted paper addressed to the business leader who would approve the migration (this person can be fictitious), presenting the business justification for the proposal.

The paper should include a brief background to the business with the current system in place, a discussion of the proposed cloud service, and an overall idea of the timeline and cost required to migrate.

Support your proposal with at least two external citations and references

Analyze, firstly, the current EU regulatory integration on international protection, retracing the most important stages of the communitarization of the immigration and asylum policy within the Union and correlating the latter to a wider legal aspect such as the multilevel protection of fundamental rights.

The research project intends to analyze, firstly, the current EU regulatory integration on international protection, retracing the most important stages of the communitarization of the immigration and asylum policy within the Union and correlating the latter to a wider legal aspect such as the multilevel protection of fundamental rights.
In this context, the profiles of greatest interest are: the determination of the country competent to examine the asylum application as governed by the Dublin Regulation and balanced with the sovereignty clause; the definition of the categories of subjects included in the notion of international protection; the EU’s SAR zone and the “safe third country” concept.
It is worth noting that the humanitarian emergency of 2015 requires us to question the efficiency of the initiatives and legal instruments adopted by the European Union, in order to study a better migration policy on asylum aimed at guaranteeing respect for the fundamental rights of international protection applicants and fair sharing of responsibility among the States of the Union.
Consequently, it seems worth studying not only the EU management and control of irregular immigration but also its external dynamics. As a result, the second part of the research will be focused on the external dimension of the EU migration policy: the support to host and transit countries through existing Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) missions and operations, including on border management and fighting traffickers and smugglers; the use of financial tools such as the Emergency Trust Fund for Africa or the Syria Trust Fund in addition to other broader programs, such as the European Neighborhood Instrument (ENI), the Development Cooperation Instrument (DCI), the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) and the Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP); the mechanisms and agreements that affect in particular Niger and Rwanda, as regards the role played by UNHCR and IOM on the relocation of migrants via the mandate of the European Commission.

Finally, in order to identify some best practices, a comparison will be made between the external dimension of the asylum policies of the EU and Australia – as regards the management of the SAR area – and the United States – in terms of management of irregular migration flows on land border.
